Desire is the motivation that lies behind every action, the power and energy that causes all movement.

Desire incites persons to make the most incredible efforts. It can be transformed into energy for positive or negative ends.

The high fliers in your midst are those who have channelled this energy generated by desire into productive use, making positive strides by way of individual achievements admired by people around.

The energy generated by desire can be so strong that an individual can continue striving or struggling far beyond his/her normal limits.

Desire without attachment to outcome might sound like a paradox at first. How can you desire or want something and yet not care about whether you get it or not?

“The starting point of all achievement is desire. Keep this constantly in mind. Weak desires bring weak results, just as a small amount of fire makes a small amount of heat.”

- Napoleon Hill

What Is YOUR Desire?

Identifying your Core Desire is the first step in determining what you aspire for your

future. Your Core desire will take you through trials, tribulations, and it will

ultimately test your patience.

Your Core desire will eventually lead you to a level of Success you may have previously

conceded as unattainable.

Desire for Success

Desire has been identified by psychologists as the first ingredient for success in any

endeavor.

A Greek philosopher, whose student approached to teach him how to acquire wisdom fast was said to have taken the student to a river. The teacher then held the student's head and pushed it down into the water until he, student, almost choked to

death.

When the philosopher let go, he explained to the baffled student that the desire for wisdom must

be as strong as the desire for air.

“We are desire. It is the essence of the human soul, the secret of our existence. Absolutely nothing of human greatness is ever accomplished without it. Not a symphony has been written, a mountain climbed, an injustice fought, or a love sustained apart from desire. Desire fuels our search for the life we prize. Our desire, if we will listen to it, will save us from committing soul-suicide, the sacrifice of our hearts on the altar of "getting by." The same old thing is not enough. It never will be.”

- John Eldredge

Desire Is The Foundation Of Success

Your minds become magnetized by the dominating thoughts which you hold in your minds.

It is the power of these thought and intentions that cause us to attract, like a magnet, the forces, the people, the circumstances of life which harmonize with the nature of your dominating thoughts.

This is why having a Burning Desire is an essential element of success.

Is YOUR Desire Strong Enough?

The necessary desire is best described as obsession. Nothing will stand in the way, no set back will be sufficient, no obstacle a barrier to the power of such a desire.

It is the hallmark of the great achievers throughout history, that they have achieved their success and wealth through unstinting desire, faith and persistence, often through much difficulty and set-back.

Holding such desire requires great strength of character and self-belief, but this power is available to anyone who is prepared to grasp it.

“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure”

- Bill Cosby

Burning Desire

Burning desire is more than a wish or a want or a dream. Wishes, wants and dreams typically come from you, the human

individual. Burning desire is something that comes from your spirit. It is as if your Higher Self is compelling you toward

something. Burning desire is what animates your purpose and your values. Not necessarily what drives you toward getting a

new pair of shoes…unless that pair of shoes stands for independence, achievement or confidence.

Burning Desire

Take a moment to think about the goals you have set for yourself.

How committed are you to achieving these goals?

Under what conditions would you give up?

What if you could significantly increase your desire to achieve these goals?

What if you wanted them so badly that you knew with absolute certainty that you would absolutely, positively never ever give up?

Burning Desire

When you are truly 100% committed to reaching your goals, you move from hoping to know. If you

want something badly enough, then quitting is simply not an option. You either find a way or

make one. You pay the price, whatever it takes.
