description

With the population of the Middle East and north Africa expected to more than double by 2050, urban areas are under intense pressure to accommodate this growth, while enabling strong communities which promote healthy, active lifestyles. In this lecture, Atkins’ design director, Matthew Tribe, looks at the key questions which must be answered when planning and designing successful infrastructure. This presentation was first delivered in April 2014 at the Arab Future Cities Summit in Doha, Qatar.

What are the key questions that must be answered when planning and designing successful infrastructure?

What else?... Scale? Delivery? Adaptability? Efficiency? The questions are always the same but the answers are always unique.
