Business : Book Café: The ExoticaAbout the business : The café will have exotic coffees and the collection of most popular books. Also the dishes and food will be served keeping in mind the health conscious crowd with no compromise in taste and quality and at affordable price keeping in mind the target group for the café.The book café is a café located in Patiala city (Punjab). This café is strategically located in Patiala because of the young crowd in Patiala due to many colleges in the city and also because of market gap arising due to no such café opened yet in the city .
Objectives: The main objective for the business is to provide best experience to the young crowd with the soothing combination of Books, Coffee, healthy food and relaxing music. This will be a commercial café run for profit of stakeholders.
Structure of organizationIn beginning i.e. In 2015, the café will be operated by just three partners i.e. me and my two friends.
The initial capital required will be funded in the ratio as mentioned:• Me( Kritika) – 50%• Aaditya - 30%• Sahil-20%
The profits will also be distributed in the same ratio as investment.
The work burden will be equally divided in beginning and the work will be individually exhaustive and mutually exclusive.

Structure of organization( 30 people) After one year of successful functioning of the café, the plan will be to expand the model and also duplicate the model at two different locations.
They staff or employees will be gradually increased to 30 (15 at each café)
The two locations of the café would be Patiala (existing one) and Ludhiana( new location) again strategically planned keeping in mind the target group and the market gap and opportunity for the business model success .
The company at this stage will have a strength of 31.
This includes me serving as chairman of the company (being the maximum capital investor ) and the other two partners will be operating as the GM of the café of two locations
The GM’s will have the responsibility of overall co-ordination of work of café at their locations and convey the same to chairman.

The initial stages for the company will be analyzer without innovation and will not lead to much innovation
Further, certain innovations in terms of events organized, musical nights etc could be lead
THE STRATEGY
The Goal Space
For ideal working of an organization, the company must focus on both i.e. efficiency and effectiveness of working.
But in the beginning, my café lies in quadrant A, since initially there is lack of manpower, market build etc but as we expand after 2 year the company moves to quadrant C , showing high effectiveness but still lack of efficiency
The alternative organizational configuration of a firm
The configuration will be Simple configuration to divisional configuration towards matrix configuration respectively with growth of organization, expansion and multiple chain structure .
