    15. How is one born into Gods amily?John 1:12-13

The importance o the assurance o aith lies in the actthat, childlike, I cannot possibly love or serve God i I do notknow whether he loves and acknowledges me as his child.

    16. List some o the advantages o being a true child o God romRomans 8:15-17.

(Abba is a personal name or ather.)

    17. State briefy how you know God is your Father.

It is important or you as a Christian to be assured that God is

your Father and that you have eternal lie. Since eelings change, this assurance must ultimately depend on the Word o God. Iwrite these things to you who believe . . . that you may know thatyou have eternal lie (1 John 5:13).

Below are three verses that have helped many Christians gainthis assurance. You may want to memorize the verse which helpsyou most in this area.

I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and

believes him who sent me has eternal lie and will not becondemned; he has crossed over rom death to lie.

    JOHN 5:24

And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal lie, andthis lie is in his Son. He who has the Son has lie; he whodoes not have the Son o God does not have lie.

    1 JOHN 5:11-12

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. I anyone hearsmy voice and opens the door, I will go in and eat withhim, and he with me.
