WHAT WE ARE AND OUR MISSION

Arkematica Smart Machines s.p.a. is devoted to: DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE DEVICES AND APPAREILS WHICH CONTAINS SIMPLE AND ELEGANT ENGINEERING TO EMPOWER MAN ACTION CULTIVATING NATURALLY AND SUSTAINABLY.

The name comes from ancient Greek words ARKE‘ and MATICA : ARKE' = "origin" or "source of action", "first place, power" MATICA = mathematical reasoning can provide insight or predictions about nature. Abstraction and logic developed from counting, calculation, measurement. ARKEMATICA means “the lively nature of origins empowered applying precise mechanisms“

To confirm and explain the corporate mission we added the English word SMART and MACHINES: SMART = bright solution, things impregnated of elegant intelligence ICT, MACHINES = mechanical devices built connecting more elements as to transmit or amplify, through their movement, the natural phisical strenght.

Since March 2017, the company has become a joint-stock corporation.

Arkematica Smart Machines borns by the convergence of competences in the field of information and communication technology, domotics and electro mechanics, developed by the Italian National Research Council and by engineering companies operating in the field of cultural and environmental conservation.

In 2015 the Company has undertaken the path to its actual mission, as a result of the enthusiastic dedication and in deep experience of a team of technicians who have succeeded in affirming their professional ability in important specialist segments of the “Internet of things”, especially its experimentation for environmental sustainability, green building and zero emission mobility.

Senior partners and qualified staff are involved in continuous training courses aimed at maintaining the operational excellence needed to best handle the various work scenarios: periodical refresher courses, technical expertise and specialist knowledge integration cross fertilized along with “soft skills”.

According to Arkematica Smart Machines cultural model the "innovation" of solutions applied to its prototypes is conceived and pursued both through the introduction of state-of-the-art technologies, and through their effective integration with existing operating systems. Arkematica Smart Machines is a leader in its ability to offer highly-integrated hardware and software solutions for complex applications. This is due to a thorough knowledge of innovative methods and tools, which enables the development of tailor-made, highly reliable solutions for a range of issues of varying dimensions, with a strong propensity to innovate that translates into the adoption of the latest established technologies in electro mechanics, automation and monitoring, sensors, drones.

Since November 2016, Arkematica has undewrited a contract with the National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development – E.N.E.A. for the joint development of projects related to the development of electric vehicles and since June 2017 has opened a workshop at the E.N.E.A. Casaccia Research Campus, close to Rome, Italy.

SCENARIO AND STRATEGY

OBJECTIVES OF EUROPEAN UNION ENVIRONMENTAL POLICIES 2020: CO2 gas emissions -20%, the share of energy produced by renewable sources +20%, Energy saving = 20%. Amongst the measures included in the plan, the promotion of the "Effort sharing extra EU-ETS" system, i.e. the allocation of emissions reduction efforts, in the building, agriculture and transport sectors (excluding airspace), the Italian target is 3%.

ENVIRONMENT FRIENDLY

"ETHICAL ENERGY FARM" is a new energy-efficient farming model, a new generation farm that is not afraid to take advantage of all the green tools at its disposal to make itself self-sufficient without compromising the environmental and social equilibrium.

Among the many peculiarities of these new farms, that will have a non-secondary role in agricultural, electric traction machines, a solution adopted by the most virtuous companies. This type of machinery is marking an alternative to traditional means of work and will revolutionize the agricultural sector, making it achieve total energy autonomy while respecting the environment.

PRODUCT – ELECTRIC CHOPPING PICKING VEGETABLE LEAVES

Chopping and picking machine for vegetable leaves easily such as green salad or spinach, works quickly and ecologically in closed, indoor areas, glass houses and conservatories.

The machine allows to work ecologically and safely, does not pollute the product and safeguard the operator's health in crops produced in a protected environment - under the greenhouses. The machine significantly reduces the noise and vibration emission by improving the condition of the operator, work environment and therefore productivity.

PRODUCT - ELECTRIC MINIDUMPER

The electric power mini-dumper, with payload capacity of 400 kg, is the ideal solution to satisfy the requirements of materials handling in closed spaces such as green-houses, it is ideally suited for nurseries, in agriculture and small indoor building sites. This innovative and eco-minidumper have been designed expressly for a sustainable development category.

Lithium iron phosphate battery technology (Li-Fe-PO4 ) provides a very high charging capacity, up to 2h30min of autonomy, combined with a high number of charge cycles. It is fast charging with full power output, even with a low charge, the batteries are light and require zero maintenance, in comparison to traditional lead acid batteries.

PROTOTYPE – ELECTRIC CORDLESS TILLER

Actually, the cordless electric tillers are not the most powerful implements in the world of agriculture. A cordless electric tiller is considered a machine to help loosen up garden soil and get rid of weeds. These machines are light, easy to operate, inexpensive and wonderful for many light-duty gardening chores. Nevertheless, professional agricultural tools, cordless electric, such as chainsaws, blowers, brush-cutters, are steadily gaining market shares. Arkematica Smart Machine is working on a powerful cordless electric tiller prototype. Cordless electric tiller allow users to operate with almost complete freedom since they are light, quiet, easy to operate and free from encum-brances such as electrical cords, they are perfect for many cultivating tasks in a more ecofriendly mode.

PROTOTYPE – ELECTRIC CORDLESS TILLER

The Arkematica Smart Machines cordless electric tiller is rated 24 volts, which geves 1,5 kw power useful for most cultivating and weeding applications. Ergonomic design, light and well-balanced, this tiller is completely portable, quite easy for most operators to handle. This is because they are based on very simple designs that involve very few moving parts.

The electric cordless tiller can be taken to the furthest reaches of the property to work, far away from electrical outlets and, as long as it have battery power, can till and cultivate.

The prototype is based on Sealed lead acid battery but considers the application of a Lithium Ion battery over a traditional rechargeable battery. Lithium Ion batteries are able to hold a charge for longer periods of time and they offer more consistent power while in use. Additionally, these batteries do not require to run down the charge completely before plugging in again for recharging.

PROTOTYPE – ELECTRIC DEMOLITION PLANT

The combination of state-of-the-art technologies, electric power-operated machinery, Remote Control Vehicles, and others available in less sophisticated forms (electric dumpers, antidust cabins and industrial vacuum cleaners), helps to reduce noise and atmospheric pollution (exhaust gas and processing dust) as well as energy consumption. The demolition scrap materials are introduced I a ready re-processing mode so as to make it "secondary raw materials“ to be steadily reused in the building works.

PROTOTYPE – ELECTRIC DEMOLITION TOOL

This is a prototype of electric powered remote-controlled demolition robot with a telescopic arm, extending the reach for a flexible set-up. Low weight and compactness, make it ideal for efficient demolit ion in closed indoors environments. The outriggers can be individually controlled and combined with a large footprint provides superior stability which enables high workload. This prototype is conceived as versatile machine for both the construction and process industry. It is supposed to be combine it with more than one tool like hammers or our compact crushers and steel shearer.

PRODUCT – MINI CAR

Electric, comfortable, practical and safe electric paintwork, in which every detail is the result of fine tuned studies and experiments that give the vehicle a high degree of reliability. Full recharging guarantees an autonomy of about 60 km . The specially designed oval shape of the aluminum cab allows easy access and exit from the vehicle, having the right seating space and provides a comfortable ride and wide visibility.
