The first Memer of the Family is an up and coming il-lustrator that specializes in art that motivates and in-spires. She herself inspired by nature was looking for a habitat that would express the complexity and simplic-ity that excist in nature.

The Secong Member of the family the head of house is currently a bartender extraudenare. Having been in the field for 10 years he is currently brewing his own beer and is looking to initiate a line of products that will ca-ter to the local brooklyn population.

Family Children

Following her mothers steps this 5 year old girl loves the arts. Her favorite hobbies include, crafts, reading and painting.

The final member of the family is a 7 year old boy who enjoys watersports, he has always wanted to go on a fiching trip out at sea. He loves to swim and has been aquatic since the age of 4.

Precidence

The first project by Bureau des Mesar-chitectures on the left shows the use of a central stair core to create a link be-tween the various containers. On the second project by Studio Force4 we can see the stacking of systems to cre-ate a dynamic habittat that would best fit in with the excisting landscape.

With These two projects and the analysis of excisting connections in container construc-tion, i have decided that the implementation of an elevation structure component would allow for a dynamic interior that would be seperated by elevated planes defining the functional use of each area. Further the proposed elevation system would allow the winter sun to enter more fluidly. The third and final benefit to implementing a elevated system and components is that it would cre-ate dynamic ceilings that will be simple yet complex and would fit in to the mothers ap-preciation of nature and its simple complex-ity.

Here we can see the proposed elevated component sysem. It is inspired from the containers and would create one component of 3 that will create stability and rigidity in the proposed structure.

Lower level perspec-

The pool area has been designed so that it may be used year round. The area includes a Sauna and storage areas for brewed beer that the Head of house wishes to send out as advertising.

Living Room render-

The living room area is designed to that the fam-ily may gather around a fire during thw winter months. Further the placement of the Living room area has been considered to assure a fluid move-ment between interior and exterior area.

In these renderings we can see how the southern facade assist in the passage of natural light. The Modular el-evation units connected are to be connected with shear studs to the concrete wrapped shipping containers whitch will allow for horizontal forces as to be settled.

The Kitchen Plan was designed using the existing container dimensions. A counter surface was place near the secondary entrance to assure that incom-ing goods can be easily put away. Toward the Pool entrance a closet area was added to give the family a place to pt towels and apparel that will ease there water experience and enjoyment. ---

Second Floor Render-

Illustraor Office , here wee see the illus-traors office that looks out into the Pacific street area. The Mother expressed her need to observe daily movement and activities of humanity. She states that what drives them also drives her. Everything she creates is inspired from this belief.

Master Bathroom

The master bathroom includes a double van-ity and a tub jacuzzi. This mater bathroom is located at the top of the bathroom core that will act as a counterbalance to the forces ces excerted by the Metal structural panels and frame. This union will create an inverted cata-nary whitch will assure maximum loadbearing capacity.

Elevated Components

The Bathroom core is designed to work together with the other components of the illtender house. The Bathroom core is designed to fall into the east part of the sight where the steel reinforced panels will allow the units to create a balance when they work together.

This inverted catanery shows how the vertical bathroom core will work with the reinfoced structural facade to create a criti-cal balance that will allow this design to stand

Mullion frame and glass panel inserts. In order to assure that we use a minimal amount of glass that will be placed in areas that will best allow the exterior natural light to penetrate the interior spaces.
