2WHAT IS DESCRIPTION
Descriptive is giving details about a person, place, thing, etc. that allows the reader to experience what you have.
In order to create a good description you must create pictures in the reader mind.
3DESCRIPTIVE
DEFINATION: Describes how something or someone looks or
feels. Include how the writer feels. Shows the reader then tell. Cerate a sensory image on the reader’s mind.
4DESCRIPPTIVE
Let the reader touch, taste, see and hear what you are describing. The reader should feel as if they can see what you are describing clearly. You want to paint a picture as you write the descriptive paragraph.
5INSTRUCTIONS TO WRITE DESCRIPTIVE PARAGRAPH
Use “like” and “as” when you write your descriptive paragraph. These words strengthen your paragraph if used properly.
FOR EXAMPLE My best friend is like the sun in my life.
6DESCRIPTIVE
Insert descriptive adjective to modify your nouns. Don’t just say “ocean”. Use more descriptive words such as deep dark blue ocean.

8WHAT IS NARRATIVE PARAGRAPH
Narrative paragraph tells a story or an event. It could be novel, an account of one’s life, social event etc.
Therefore, a narrative paragraph must have: A central idea. Character. A plot (conflict, climax and the resolution of the story/event). Setting (when and where the story happens).
9ORGANIZING A NARRATIVE . PARAGRAPH
A good narrative paragraph normally requires three necessary components.
Background information. The story event (a summary) conclusion

Background information: The background information sets the scene for the audience. It includes the following pieces of information.
A topic sentence. What story is about. Who it is about. When it happens. Where it is happens.

The story/Event: The story or event happens at 3 different stages: the beginning, the middle and the end of the story or event

The conclusion: It is a concluding sentence. The writer can either

13CAUSE AND EFFECT
CAUSE A cause is something that makes something else happen. It is the
reason.
EFFECT
An effect is the result of the cause.
14EXAMPLES
CAUSE
A boy kicked a ball. A girls studied hard for a test. Abdullah was very tired.
EFFECT
The ball rolled. Girls got a 7 on her test. Abdullah went to bed early.
15WORDS OF CAUSE AND EFFECTS
If one of the following words is used in a sentence, then this sentence is about “causes and effects”.
