1980 AAD election underway Ballots for the election of Academy officers and vacancies on the Board of Directors will be sent out to the membership this month . Brief cur- riculum vitae of each candidate were published in the August Bulletin section of the JOURNAL. A certified public accountant will tabulate the election results. All ballots should be returned in the accompanying return envelope to the account- ing firm no later than Oct. 17, 1980. Ballots should not be sent to the Academy office. The results of the election will be announced during the business session of the annual meeting on Monday morning, Dec. 8, 1980. Annual meeting registration Registration packets for the 39th Annual Meet- ing in New York City, including program book, housing form, and announcements, were mailed to all Academy members and residents the last week in August. If you have not received your packet by September 17, please notify the Academy office at 312-869-3954. Advance registration closes Nov. 3, 1980. Committee on Postgraduate 'Courses The Committee on Postgraduate Courses is rep- resented by members from different regions of the United States. Ifyou are planning a postgraduate course or scientific meeting, you may contact the Committee member or members in your region.
