Derby City School SportPartnership works closelywith primary, secondaryand special schools inorder to developopportunities in PE andSport for young people inDerby. We aim to ensure allyoung people participate,enjoy and benefit from PEand School Sport.

Creating a Leadership Pathway…As a Leadership Academy Member Raj has:

Gained leadership and coaching qualifications;Been trained and mentored;Volunteered in schools and the community;Become a Young Ambassador;Attended national leadership conferences;Won a ‘You are the Legacy’ Award 2012;Won the Volleyball England Young Volunteer of the YearAward 2013; andGone on to study a sport related degree at University.

In March 2013 the Governmentannounced ring fenced PE and Sportfunding for primary schools. The SportPremium funding in Derby will total£670,100 per year for two years.
