R E D W O 0 D R E G I O N President's Message Kurt Fischer

Wow... another Porsche filled weekend! Saturday was our visit to Far Niente and BBQ potluck...see Bill's article in this issue! This edition is packed with all our recent events! Summer has finally arrived in Northern CA...BIG time... 103F degrees on Saturday and a cool 99F on Sunday, now let us hope it stays nice for the rest of our year, but just a little cooler!

Our premier event of the year is happening on Saturday, July 25, 2009...the 40th Anniversary of the Redwood Region at the wonderful home of John and Wynne Bergman in Forestville and I still only have 74 people that have RSVP'd to me! We had 135 people at our 35th Party and we have room for at least 150 people. If there is, one event that you need to be at... this is the one! Your Region needs you! Also celebrating their 40th Anniversary is the legendary Porsche 917...here is a good story on the famous 917. http://www.examiner.com/x-11005-San-Jose-Sports-Car-Examiner~y2009m6d9-Happy-40th-Porsche-917 Upcoming are the Monterey Historics and according to Steve Earle, the organizer of the Historics, of the 450 cars entered in the races, 150 will be Porsches! This event should not be missed! All the details are on our website! Be there! I will be putting together a schedule of the races once they are published and come up with meeting spots for us to gather and kick tires in the paddock and watch the races! The first actual road test of the new Porsche Panamera is out and as we did with the introduction of the Cayenne, the Porsche faithful are full of questions. Read it here....

http://www.caranddriver.com:80/reviews/hot_lists/high_performance/porsche_file/2010_porsche_panamera_s_4s_turbo_first_drive_review There is a new 2.5 hour DVD created by the Porsche factory on the history of our favorite car company. I am checking with the PCA National staff to see if we can get it here in the USA! Here is the story on it... http://wot.motortrend.com/6554117/marketing/the-porsche-way-documentary-doesnt-start-towards-the-rear/index.html Want to see the top Porsches sold over the past few years? Our best wishes to both of them...we want you both back with us soon! As always, keep the shiny side up on our wonderful Redwood Region roads and remember the flash! Hope to see more of the new members on our upcoming events! Want me... need me...here I am [email protected]

Editor's Corner Bill Walters

Six months have flown by like so many Porsches at Laguna. Six months of Redwood Region venues that have been standing room only, selling out weeks in advance. You must be proud of your decision to join us and celebrate what the Club and what our surroundings have to offer. Whether it be the track, the landscapes, the wineries or the café/restaurants, there is no lacking in jovial camaraderie here! I am always greeting new faces and remembering names, new and old alike. I have also noticed how warmly the new members are welcomed and treated, as observed while mingling before our runs or seated at meals. Compared to other car clubs that can be aloof and standoffish, ours seems to relish newcomers. Event staff, as with restaurants and wineries seem to favor us as well.

We are also fortunate to have members like Steve and Cherryl Glenn, Greg and Nancy Chambers, Charlie and Antoinette Alegria and John and Wynn Bergman who welcome us un-selfishly into their homes for socials. Make sure you let these folks know how much you enjoyed their good graces so we can be invited back! In addition, we are starting to receive requests from contributing members who wish to submit their personal stories about their Porsches. Greg Maissen recently wrote a nice piece about his 928 and Bob Pringle submitted a very nice piece this month about his driving experience in Alabama. These submittals are always welcome; don't be shy!

Now you may scroll ahead and check out our coverage of the Dillon Beach Breakfast Run, Autocross No. 4, our Tour of Far Niente and visit with the Glenns, Bob Pringle's Porsche Driving Experience, our Photo of the Month, our advetisers, reports and of course, the Classifieds! See you at the Party! Ed. ( Justin Rains pic. )

Breakfast Run to Dillon Beach, June 6th Bill Walters

Justin and Anke Rains had no idea they would be the feature pic of this article..with that shirt? Ed.

You know it has never rained on any of our Breakfast Runs in the last 5 years (since I've been a member anyway). The forecast the week before Saturday's run was for thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday and partly cloudy Saturday. I didn't have windshield wipers as my motors fried and were being replaced. I hoped I could make it and Saturday would be as forecast. Well there were no "thunderstorms" or much rain for that matter and by Saturday we had sun and a smattering of cumulous clouds. Never fails. 68 degrees at 9 am as we gathered up in Novato arriving with 25 cars and 40 members joining to begin a glorious run out to Dillon Beach.

L to R, Steeds of Tom Strobel, Gordan Reynolds and Lester Hunter, around 9am.

Bob Hall was our fearless leader for our final run of the year. After Kurt took us through the driver's meeting notes, we were off to San Marin Drive out to Novato Blvd. to Pt Reyes Petaluma Road. The hills weren't quite that lush green from weeks past and the brown grasses were starting in signaling the coming hot months of July and August. Plenty of cows, a helping of sheep, a goose or two, some horses and a whole slew of bird types accompanied the pines and oaks and wooden fences. Onwards to Hicks Valley Road, to Marshall Petaluma Road past Miller Creek for our brief photo op. Don't wanna get those cars dirty... proceed to Hwy 101 and head up north beside the bay.

Justin Rains pic.

Now Lynn and I were behind Greg Maissen in his red 928S. I did this quite on purpose at the start. The sound from his pipes is a symphony to my ears from Stan Getz to Van Halen. And then he plays these games we seem to do each year...he slows down the line to about 20 mph for a few hundred yards and then takes off like a bat out of hell. My liter 2 liter 911 feels like a Volkswagen. Then we get to my favorite part of 101 along the bay right before Tomales and we are just trippin' through those flat curves with grins as wide as Kansas.

Trying to keep up with Maissen. Lynn Walters pic. As we head into Tomales, you could see a hint of fog on the coast hugging those sultry hills between the bay and the sea. Those blues are so hard to describe; not quite grey, not quite blue, and they fade back and forth between the ever changing blue sky reflecting the ocean. The pines back out of Petaluma opened the curtain to eucalyptus along the coast and the pungent smell from their fog-wet soaked leaves. Turn left through town, up the hill, do some twisty turns at speed, past the Elephant Rocks and down into the Dillon Beach Cafe. Ahhh, we're there. Park, get out and let's order. I won't get into the service, let's just say we all were eventually served, we ate and left happy.

L to R, George & Shirley Neidel, Susan & Vern Rogers. Vlad Tysn & Heather Genereux, Becky & Mac Cranford.

Just want to say I was really happy to have Vlad Tysn & Heather Genereux, brand new members who contacted me about another subject, I convinced to bring not one, but two Porsches to this event. Now those are new members! They jumped in, got their feet wet and want to do it again. Kudos. Looking for more like those two. Thank you all for coming out. It's easy, it's fun and you get to talk about it at night. How easy is that? Please sign up early for future events. Our venues are gaining in popularity and the squeezing is tight. Everybody leaves a winner and smiles are hard to suppress. See you there.

Photo of the Month Bill Walters

Michael Eaton photo; Dave Ash Collection. Downtown Sebring Fl. 1965

I couldn't resist. Found this on my internet bookmark, barcboys.net who took many a Sebring photo in the '60's. A favorite Florida pastime especially when I was growing up, I remember every hotel and motel had schuffle board pads with those what seemed to be ceramic discs and those steel push sticks. You just shoved and tried to put in the 'right' triangular square on the opposite side. Anybody could do it, that's why Floridian's liked it so much I suppose. I know as a kid I did. This shot is so typical of how I remember the time. In '65 I was 13. Here you see two Triumph Spitfires who would finish the weekend's race in 29th and 30th place. Next to them is a 904, one of 8 entries, 6 would finish. The best places were a 5th and 6th. No. 22 is the gorgeous Lola T70 Ford which was a DNF. No 27 back there is a Ford Cortina but not entered for the race. Just a number on a car. You can also make out what appears to be a Ferrari 330 GT and a 356 and the XKE. All this at what appears to be Sebring's City Hall plaza Friday before the race. But VERY typical in all ways. Race cars driving through town on their way into town and then to the track.

Sebring was quite a spectacle that year. Mostly remembered for the torrential downpour on Saturday afternoon that flooded the course and pits, and mostly for the American car American driver win. Jim Hall and Hap Sharp built their own Chaparral 2A automatic transmission racer(!) in Texas, brought it to Sebring and killed the Ferrari's Fords and little Porsches. And this was an open seater! Rain poured in and flooded the car. A similar sister entry lost their electrics but theirs was lucky enough to win outright. Seriously, I remember vividly one of the drivers opening his door and the rain water pouring out while driving full out. The flooding was so bad some of the drivers got lost on the long straights and pulled off to the side. The race was not stopped, the field dried and that was that. Jim and Hap would continue to make spacy cars and headlines for years. It would not rain at a Sebring race again for another 26 years.

Sea of cars and cones. Mountains and bunny beyond. Barbara McCrory pics.

This was technically Autocross No. 4 as May 3rd's Autocross No. 4 was rained out. Brighter weather though brought out 58 competitors in a wide range of vehicles totaling 53 cars. Three regions were represented plus ESCA, SFR and SVR. Those arriving early were treated to almost 20 hot-air balloons floating amongst the clouds including one giant pink Energizer Bunny balloon; kind of a surreal, un-caffeinated visual at 7:30 am. Manning the scoreboard through the day, I was able to hear most of the comments and conversations amongst you inside the tent confines. I must have heard a dozen "What a perfect day" comments. And indeed it was. Mild temps, blue skies, some cumulous and a bit of wind. We even had the occasional WWII aircraft taking off in the distance to remind us of a bygone era. David Bunch designed a course that had you start running the route in the opposite direction we are accustomed, counterclockwise. This took you through the go-cart heading South and around the big loop at the rear of the course, then down the long straight through a series of chicanes to trip the timer. Average lap times would be in the low 50 seconds range. Divided into two groups, green and yellow, the morning session had both groups running three laps apiece. There were quite a few DNF's in the beginning but this settled down as the course became familiar. I think the best time in the morning was a 50 second run.

We broke for lunch at 12:15 and began the afternoon session at 1 pm sharp. Clouds had mostly parted and baby blue skies prevailed with very comfortable temperatures. Each group was to have 6 laps apiece which gave us over three hours of merriment. Towards the remaining runs, there was some fierce competition between Kraig Klipped in his Miata and Tristan Bayless driving Bill Newton's 912. Kraig came out on top with TTOD at 48.133 with Tristan a scant .009 seconds behind! Those cones kept badgering him all afternoon. One of 2 women to drive was Jenny Johnson in her Infinity G35..she really enjoyed herself as a newbie to autocrossing!. Many, many thanks to Mac and Becky Cranford for set-up and registration work, David Bunch for the hard labor, cold water and course design and to all the track workers and timers for keeping things straight out there. You are much appreciated. Hope to see you at AX number 5, July 18th. Check your local listings.

L ynn and I arrived at Kal's Kaffee Mocha just after 8AM, a bit early, so we decided to get a light breakfast and coffee and were soon joined by Mac & Becky Cranford and more early birds. By 8:30AM, we returned to the parking lot where a dozen members had gathered chatting and signing in with Kurt Fischer under blue skies in 65-degree weather. A steady pouring in of Porsches brought 46 of you to our launch in 24 cars. Another half dozen of you would meet us later at the Far Niente Estate. Kurt was our lead man and took us across the freeway east to connect with Fountain Grove Pkwy, to CA-12 and onto Trinity Road for some twisty-turny, uphill-downhill driving beneath the live oaks. We were approaching the 80-degree mark by then and the trees provided a welcome shade. We drove out to Dry Creek Road on to the Oakville Grade to Acacia Drive and into the lavish Far Niente Wine Estate. The Estate's parking area easily handled our rides beside large foliage and a willow lined pond with two large fountains for a refreshing backdrop. Azaleas were everywhere to take the edge off and make for a pleasant bright backdrop. Bruce Mooers, the Vice President and Director of Sales was immediately present and was all smiles with eyes dancing over our cars. Bruce is a very good-natured fellow with a welcoming presence. He gave us a brief history of the ownership the buildings and the vineyards.

The main building housing the reception, offices, storage and cellar, (vast!) was made of stone in 1885 by Hamden McIntire who named it Far Niente Dolce, roughly translated to "Sweet to do nothing". The building was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The winery only produces one Cabernet Sauvignon and one Chardonnay on 110 acres of sustainable farm. All estate bottled by hand. I took many notes on the fascinating history but there is too much to include here. Check out their website or Google Far Niente for a tour of this property.

Two wild & crazy guys, Roland Tolosa & Greg Welsh

Page 17: der Riesenbaum - Porsche Club of Americared.pca.org/news/newsletter/2009/July 2009 edr.pdf · August 1-2, 2009 - GGR Driver's ED and Time Trials - Thunderhill Raceway August 8, 2009

The reception area was a large rectangular room with a central spiral stair leading up to the office area, a large fireplace, and some historic black and white photos of the buildings and site on display. Staff provided a nice spread of their Chardonnay for tasting in the comfort of 68 cool degrees. Bruce led us down into the storage area where the wines were fermenting and then into the wine aging caves. Maintained for cleanliness with hundreds of neatly stacked oak barrels and storage the caves seemed endless.

Jim Hurson, Susan Leick, Joe McCrary, Kaye Jackson, Lynn Walters, Jerry & Marsha Gladstone. This led to the Library, a little architectural gem of a small eight-sided room with a vaulted ceiling made of stone. They had a tasting table in the center beneath four down-lights and the walls were lined with stone shelving for wines bottled in the late '90's through the early 2000's. Of course, there was a tasting of these as well. It was not over yet!

The Carriage House was next. This is a separate building with large concrete ground floor displaying some 14 cars and a couple of rare BMW motorcycles. Most of the collection belonged to founder, car collector, and race driver, Gil Nickel. There was a favorite car for everyone from a 350 GT Shelby, Ferrari's 500 Superfast and 365 Daytona, two Bentleys and a little red the Alfa Giulietta, the big favorite of the women. The prize was a fly-yellow, 1953 Ferrari America; one of two. It is funny, upon asking, there seemed to be no hesitation from guys and gals alike; they had their favorites selected and staked! All these cars do not sit idly and pampered, they are driven regularly we are told.

Bruce Mooers' 911 outside 'Museum'. Yvonne Hurson beside favorite Alfa. Lynn Walters pic.

We were served the late harvest Dolce dessert wine made with Semillon and Sauvignon grapes that are hand picked well into December, grape by grape (this is one of my favorites...knowing my sweet tooth...Assistant ed.) The day had blazed into the high 90's by then and after making a few wine selections to take home, we were off again behind Kurt (some of us...) to wind our way to Steve and Cherryl Glenn's estate in Santa Rosa. This route had fewer grades to navigate, employing the Silverado Trail north to Calistoga then heading west on Petrified Road, Porter and Mark West Spring Roads to the Glenn's entry drive. It was a walk down to their grounds where we brought in our side dishes, appetizers and deserts. We walked down the drive past the Glenn's collection of fine cars including MG, TVR, Corvette, Alfa Romeo, Porsche 911 and Speedster and Mini. All nicely maintained and all 100 point cars!

Page 18: der Riesenbaum - Porsche Club of Americared.pca.org/news/newsletter/2009/July 2009 edr.pdf · August 1-2, 2009 - GGR Driver's ED and Time Trials - Thunderhill Raceway August 8, 2009

The driveway leads into a three level building rightly dubbed the "Garage-Mahal". From the lower level used for mechanical equipment and storage, the second level is the garage with a lift, workshop area and walls lined with automobilia, mostly posters and potographs of the car collection in action. Stairs leading to the third level bring you to a kind of banquet room with a bar at the far end. (See photo below.) This was perfect for our group who used the entire area for socializing and cooling off around a half dozen round tables for eight and an area to spread out our potlucks buffet style. Steve had a large flat screen showing a DVD of a track video, In Car 956 with Derek Bell driving. Food choices ranged from hors-d'ourves, bean, corn pasta and fruit salads, shrimps, cheeses, fruits and some brownies. Mike Kizzier, our ace BBQ-er did pork loins and chicken breasts out in the broiling sun for the main meal ...again served with brownies. Yum! Of course, wine flowed abundantly; we are not the Redwine Region for nothing!

Cary Weltken, Phillipa Short, Joe McCrary, Lynn Walters & Holly Hall. Many people to thank here; Kurt, the Glenn's and Bruce Mooers for putting this all together, the staff at Far Niente, the Glenn's for their accommodation, hard work and cooking, Mike Kizzier and to you who were smart enough to sign up quickly for this event and enjoying the venue without incident! Nice going! See you at the 40th Anniversary celebration!

Track Time at The Porsche Driving Experience Bob Pringle article & pics.

In mid-May on a Friday, I checked another item off my "bucket list." I met a friend from L.A. in Birmingham, Alabama to participate in the Porsche Performance Driving Course on Saturday and Sunday at the truly spectacular Barber Motorsports Park well outside Birmingham near the airport. My friend from L.A with a 997 Turbo Cab, and I own a more mundane 997S Cab. As it turned out, of the 24 students who attended, most owned Porsches and,

shockingly, many were in our age group, former Deadheads and middle-aged Porschefiles. There were 23 men and one woman, wife of a delightful fellow from Vancouver. On Saturday morning bright and early (7:15 a.m.) we were ferried from our hotel in immaculate VW buses to the Park, a short drive from the Birmingham International Airport. Immediately on arrival, we were all struck by how spectacular the course and its surroundings were. Beyond belief! Mr. Barber (not to be confused with Skip Barber, no relative) who built it was reputed to have made his fortune in the dairy industry and devoted $82 million of it to constructing the facility with an outlandishly beautiful museum to show off his car and motorcycle collection, worth a visit alone.

We were ushered into the building containing the classroom that looked hauntingly like an upscale showroom for a Porsche distributor, and after a nice continental breakfast and "chit chat" with the instructors and other students in an area, we proceeded with about forty minutes of class room instruction, mainly the principals of good driving (don't drink two vodka martinis, a good portion of a bottle of Stags Leap cabernet and a New York steak the night before your first day behind a 911 on the Barber course-this advice came too late for me). Then it was on to driving, thank goodness. The weather was cloudy and rainy, but that did not deter anyone. We broke into three groups. One went to an autocross track that was set up in an area that was about 200 yards long. Another proceeded to a similarly sized area that was the skid pad, and on it was a figure-eight course. My friend Fred, the couple from Vancouver and I were a foursome... We cheerfully drove near brand new Cayman S' and Boxster S' around these courses. As it turned out, T.J., the delightful woman from Vancouver, beat us all. She was fearless. I was wowed by the performance of the Cayman, a perfectly balanced automobile for the autocross. Had I known how capable that car is, I would have seriously considered buying one as an alternative to my present 997S. After two hours "up the hill" on these courses and a lovely buffet lunch, we moved to the race track below and gleefully popped into our new 2009 997s, some with PDK and most with stick. In groups of four we followed the instructor (who drove a 997 Turbo, of course) around the track as he dutifully communicated instructions to us through the speakers in our cars. We were told in advance that we had to keep PSM (known as "Please Save Me" to the instructors) engaged at all times. After several hot laps, we each had an opportunity to ride with the instructor and see how someone really skilled does it. I learned a great deal from this, not the least of which was that I was thirty-five years older and that alone was a huge handicap. Our sessions, with minimal breaks, continued until 5:00 p.m., when we all went back to the hotel for a great dinner with the instructors in attendance. Porsche lived up to its promise that the course gave maximum seat time on the track and minimal class time.

The second day was wet as well with copious amounts of water on the track. We moved directly to driving after about forty-five minutes of breakfast and classroom instruction. What a blast Sunday was. More accustomed to all venues, we drove more aggressively and with greater confidence. The routine was similar to the prior day. The instructors were wonderful. One, a Brazilian, was particularly entertaining. (He was ranked very high in the GT 3 class in the U.S. recently.) I particularly enjoyed driving the PDK version of the 997, finding that its instantaneous shifts led to me improving my track times substantially, since my heel/toe efforts were clumsily executed with the stick shift. Our instructors admitted, albeit sadly, that the day may come when everyone will only have PDKs to choose from. It is amazing technology. During the day there was even an hour interlude where we drove Cayennes off into the woods near the track, down and up forty-five degree hills and fording a steam that came up to almost the middle of the doors. (From driving the Cayenne in these conditions it occurred to me that it is unfortunate that most owners engage in "off-roading" that, at most, consists of driving onto Nordstrom's gravel overflow parking lot in Corte Madera.) Was this all worth the approximately $3,000 it cost, exclusive of room and airfare? Absolutely! Everyone, without exception, felt it was worth it. It was a very Porsche experience and was an example that Porsche can only do things one way-first class. Regardless of one's prior experience, it would be a blast.

A week later, checking in with my friend from L.A., his initial response was, "Well, when are we going back?" We have committed to go back again, this time for the three-day "Masters Class". In the meantime, I will certainly dream of that beautiful facility as I review the DVD they sent me two weeks later with the pictures of me trying to negotiate the track in the cabin of car in one quadrant of the screen, while the course in front of me is on the rest of the screen (with my tachometer and speedometer superimposed on the screen as well). It was a lot of money, but why leave it to the kids. (This man has the right attitude I like his style...Assistant Editor)

Board Meeting Minutes Jerry Gladstone

Board Meeting Minutes

June 23rd, 2009, Chevy's, Novato President Kurt Fischer called the meeting to order at 7:07 pm. Attendees: President Kurt Fischer, Vice President and der Riesenbaum Editor Bill Walters, Treasurer Lynn Walters, Secretary Jerry Gladstone, Goodie Store Director, Autocross Director and Past President David Bunch, Membership Director Bret Boutet, Social Chair Mary Neidel, Autocross Instructor Mac Crandall and members Rob Neidel, John Berman and Greg Maissen. Minutes: The minutes of previous meeting were approved as submitted. President's Report: The 40th Anniversary Party is set for July 25th at the Bergman home. Park Avenue will be the caterer (same caterer as our 2008 Annual Meeting). The cost including almost everything is $4,941; a deposit of $1,492 has already been paid. The club will be subsidizing the event about $2 - $5 per person depending on the attendance (looking for 150 people). Cost to members will be $30 per person paid in advance to Lynn Walters, Treasurer. The party is BYOB. Please RSVP to Kurt to confirm attendance; children and grandchildren are welcome. Volunteers and all Board Members are asked to be at the Bergman's by 9:30 am to help set up tables, tents, etc. The Anniversary Party will also serve as our annual general membership meeting with an introduction of present and 2010 officer candidates as well as a brief treasurer's report. The very longest term Region members will be invited and comp'd. Sign will be made to help with the parking. Insurance will be secured; a disclaimer will need to be signed upon entrance. There will be at least one PCA National officer at the 40th party. July 18th will see a car show at the Marin Yacht Club - it is free to show your car. The Tour to Far Niente/BBQ at the Glenn's is set for June 27th. The Palo Alto Concours on June 28th has Porsche as the featured marque. Kurt will be preparing the president's semi-annual state of the region article for publication in der Riesenbaum. Vice President's Report: Bill has decided to run for president for 2010, he has asked Greg Maissen to be his "running mate" as vice president. Bill requested a list of all 40th Anniversary Party attendees so that he may prepare name tags. Treasurer's Report: Net income for May was $1,617.98. Net income year-to-date is $2,646.49. Total assets stand at $21,208.80. The CD matures in July; Lynn will work with the bank to find best CD rate. A correction will be made on the financial statements to reflect $2.50 per driver (not $5.00) accrued in the autocross reserve fund.

Secretary's Report: Mentioned the Father's Day car show in Santa Rosa featuring mostly American cars (historic, muscle, hot rods, etc.). The first casual ride of the bicycling group had a very pleasant ride out of Healdsburg and through the Dry Creek valley - there were only three riders.

der Riesenbaum Editor's Report: Publication is scheduled for July 3rd. Issue will include articles on the Far Niente Tour and a notice of the 40th Anniversary Party/General Membership Meeting (to be written by Kurt but appearing in the Secretary's column). There was discussion of the considerable expense of hardcopy der Riesenbaums and mailing costs (well over $3000 per year). There will be a card in the next dR polling about a fee for the hardcopy version. dR has achieved a level of quality that we are considering entering the PCA Newsletter Award competition in 2010. Bill showed some outstanding cards that we could use to help recruit new members. Advertising Director's Report: No report. Goodie Store: Last three events sold $187; year-to-date sales have been $862. Ordering more items for the 40th Party. Autocross Director's Report: The June 13th autocross had 58 drivers and brought in $1,740. Procedural changes for future autocrosses include closing registration at 9:30 am and offering late comers runs only after lunch. Discussed workers and their training. Membership Report: Membership is slightly down by Bret's count, but flat according to National's data. This is outstanding in these times as most regions are down. This past month saw the fewest new members in quite a while. Webmaster's Report: Website is up and running. There were questionable statistics reporting 39,662 hits in May and 69 visits per day. Concours Chairman's Report: No report. Social Chairman's Report: An October 24th tour to the Boeschen Family Vineyards on the Silverado Trail has been added to the calendar. CASA: There are new regulations regarding charities; we are waiting for official guidelines and rulings from National. New Business: Do we want to have a Corral at the IRL races in August, there is no companion GrandAm race this year? Next Meeting: Tuesday, July 28th at 7:00 pm at Maguire's in Petaluma. President Kurt Fischer adjourned the meeting at 9:03 pm.
