Departmental assessment is the systematic and ongoing method of gathering, analyzing, and using information from measured outcomes to improve department outcomes.
The primary purpose of assessment is to improve the quality of services to students, employees, and the community by fulfilling the mission and accomplishing the goals of the College.
What is Departmental Assessment
Something we have to do just for SACSCOC You have to be a research expert to do
assessment You can’t measure what is done in certain
departments to improve the College Assessment is someone else’s job It will be used to judge a
department/individual The purpose is to prove your department is
100% successful Assessment is a top down approach
Myths about departmental assessment
