Department of Political Science DEPARTMENT DETAILS: 1. Introduction: Art’s and Commerce College Kasegaon, was established in 1985. The objectives behind introducing the subjects - Political Science is to acquire a working knowledge of the Indian political system. Students will come to understand that there are various types of political systems around the world, and that these may differ from each other with regard to their individual political institutions, political culture, political ideologies, and public policies. Political Science is prescribed at secondary level. There is lot of scope in employment as teachers after completing B. A. and Students can be availed of employment which is the need of the rural environment. Further, Political Science subject has bright future in all competitive examinations. Students will be prepared to take entry level jobs in the public or private sector or to undertake graduate study, whether academic (e.g., master’s or doctoral programs in political science) or professional (e.g., law or public administration). We take efforts to mould the future of the students. 2. Aims & Objectives: 1. To provide a constructive critique and applications of current theories of political leadership. 2. DEPARTMENT DETAILS:

1. Introduction:

Art’s and Commerce College Kasegaon, was established in 1985. The

objectives behind introducing the subjects - Political Science is to acquire a

working knowledge of the Indian political system. Students will come to

understand that there are various types of political systems around the world,

Ancient Indian Political Thought : To Understand the Inter State relation. To know the Republic & Local self institution in ancient India. Local Self Government & Movement in Maharashtra : To understand the structure & functions of various local self Government i.e Z.P. , Panchayat Samiti,

Municipal Counsil,GramPanchayat etc. To aware about Neo movement in Maharashtra

2. Public Administration: To understand the meaning nature scope and importance of public Administration. To know the public corporations & changing perspectives in public Administration. To understand the personal & financial Administration. To know the need, features & functions of Lokapal&Lokayakta
