The MCI Satellite Center for Medical Education Training

The MCI Satellite Center for Medical Education Training organized the following Faculty development programmes related to Medical Education

1. Revised Course in Medical Education Workshop and Sensitization Program in ATCOM at MIMS from 18

to 21 July, 2018

2. A CME Programme was organized on ATTITUDE AND COMMUNICATION, MEDICAL RESEARCH, AND SOFT

SKILL FOR MEDICAL PROFESSION and invited three faculty from KGMU-Lucknow - Dr Apul Goel, Professor -

Department of Urology, Dr Anuradha Nischal – Professor, Department of Pharmacology and Dr. Riddhi Jaiswal –

Associate Professor, Department of Pathology to deliver their lectures on 31ST May 2017.Programme was attended by

more than 125 registered delegates (both faculty and students) of the Institute.

3. A MET workshop on COPMETENCY BASED MEDICAL EDUCATION was organized by Era’s Lucknow Medical

College on 14th of July 2017 in which the Guest Speaker was Dr Sucheta Dandekar. Three faculty of our Institute Dr R

B Singh – MS, Prof. Rakesh Sharma –Department of Ophthalmology and Dr Sumit Sharma – Department of ENT

attended the workshop

4. KGMU organized a revised Basic workshop on Medical Education including one day sensitization programme on AET-

COM module which was attended by Dr Sumit Sharma, Department of ENT of our Institute from 31st July to 3rd of

August 2017.

5. Organized a full day CME Programme on Medical Education on 31st August 2017 (Thursday). The CME was awarded

with 4 accreditation hours by the U.P. Medical Council (Ref. No. 7738/17) dated 29.8.17. in which Dr. Vimla

Venkatesh, Dept. of Microbiology, KGMU – Lko spoke on Introduction To Assessment - Internal Assessment And

Formative Assessment, Prof. M. Goel Dept. of Pathology – KGMU – Lko spoke on How To Make MCQ’s And Item

Analysis, and Prof. Jyoti Chopra, Dept. of Anatomy, KGMU – Lko spoke on Writing Correct Essay And Short Answer

Questions.

6. Dr R.K. Garg, Faculty In charge Research cell KGMU Lucknow organized a workshop on Plagiarism on 4th of

November 2017. The workshop was attended by Dr. Sumit Sharma – Department of ENT. / Dr Piyush Singh – HOD,

Psychiatry. / Dr. Soumya Singh – Obst. & Gynae. / Dr M.S. Alam – Pharmacology. / Dr P.K. Bhamri –

Anesthesiology. / Dr Shipra Singh – Anesthesiology. / Dr. Suruchi – Anesthesiology. / Dr A.K. Srivastava – Department

7. Three faculty members from the institute attended the CME cum Workshop on MENTORSHIP Programme at King

George Medical University, Lucknow, U.P. on 20th September 2018. The faculty members were Dr Alka Singh – Professor and Coordinator, Met Programme at MIMS – BBK Dr Sumit Sharma – Associate Professor and Co-Coordinator of MET Programme at MIMS – BBK Dr Soniya Gupta – assistant Professor- Department of Anatomy, MIMS – BBK.

The programme was conducted by Dr Tajinder Singh, Convener, Professor of Pediatrics, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, and Prof. Sahiba Kukreja, Department of Biochemistry, Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences & Research centre, Amritsar.

8. ACME – Three faculty members were registered for the 7th MCI Advance Course in Medical Education, which was

held from 1st October 2018 – 5th October 2018.at MCI Nodal Centre for National Faculty Development Jawaharlal

12. MEU organised 2 Competency Implementation Support Programme for the implementation of competency Based

Medical education from the month of May 2019. The details of the workshop ate attached separately as pdf attachments

13. Department of ENT, KGMU organized a resident teaching programme on 11thMay 2019 in which there were case

presentations from the students and faculty members of KGMU in Kalam Centre. The programme was attended by

Dr.Deepti Yadav – Senior Resident Department of ENT – MIMS –BBK.

14. MEU organized a faculty development programme in the Department of ENT in the form of a CME on Allergic

Rhinitis and its Co morbidities on 21st June 2019. The other departments invited were TB &Chest / Paediatrics.

Faculty members from all the 3 specialties participated in the CME by giving their talks. The programme was

attended by Dean of the Institute as well as all the faculty members of the three Departments

15. MEU organized a faculty development programme in the Department of ENT in the form of 3 video sessions CME in

the college on 10th August 2019 from 12:00 P.M. onwards in LT Complex. The videos were on
