Industrial Visit of TE Mechanical Engineering
Date: 24 and 25 Feb 2014.
Topic : “Industrial visit to Air conditioning plant of City Centre Mall Nasik”
Time : 9 am to 11 am.
Venue : City Centre Mall Nasik.
In this visit students visited the central air conditioning system of City Centre mall
Nasik. Mr Nayeem Sir and Mr Swapnil Jadhav from JLL shared their knowledge
regrading the air conditioning system to the students. The total capacity of the plant is
1400 TR.

Expert Lecture on Mechatronics
Lecture Conducted: on 20/02/2014 & 21/02/2014

Audience : Third year students of Mechanical Engineering (Div: A & B)
Resource Person: Mr. Abhijeet Shinde, Developer & Design Engineer, BIT Electronic
System, Baramati. He is from Mechatronics Industry and working in this field from last
05 years. He has a vast experience in Embedded System, PLC, Automation, SCADA .
Mr. Shinde shared his experience and also encouraged the students to take up careers in
Automation giving a practical view of the PLC in mechatronics industry.
Topics covered :
a) Data Acquisition System, Sample & Hold Circuit, A to D & D to A converter, etc. of
Converters & Controller Fundamentals
b) Relay, Ladder diagrams & examples on it, PLC, PLC programming on software, PLC
Demonstration, Case study of mechatronics with different application like bottle filling
plant, timers & counters.
The session was followed by an open house where students had a chance to ask
questions which were answered by the resource person.
Prof. P.R. Hatte & Prof. U.V. Patil , Mechanical engineering department took special
efforts for the successful organization of the event.
Training Workshop on A.C. Repairing
The “A.C. Repairing Training Workshop" was conducted under the Home
Appliances Repairing Training Cell, Mechanical Engineering Department on 25th
February 2014 for T.E. students and 26th February 2014 for B.E. students at R.A.C.
Laboratory (Mech. Engg. Dept.). Mr. Arun Kale were the resource person working in
CEAT Ltd, Nasik, also he has its own A.C. repairing shop at college road, Nashik. He
has experience of 4 years in the A.C. maintenance field. He discussed different faults
occurring during working of A.C. and how to troubleshoot them. This workshop was
specially arranged for Third Year and Final Year Mechanical Engineering students. Prof
Y. R. Falak, Assistant professor, Mechanical Engineering Department coordinated the
whole activity under the guidance of Prof. P. R. Hatte, HOD, Mechanical Engineering
Department. Mr. Dnyanesh Aher was the student coordinator for this activity and took
valuable efforts for successful completion of the workshop.
