The first option is to take classes on the UT Martin campus. The second option is to take classes in the online virtual classroom. Regardless of which option is chosen, the degree received will be the same. Of course, if a student so chooses, both options may be used to complete the degree requirements. Management Management is the process of leading and directing all or part of an organization through the deployment of resources. Management is found in all types of organizations: non-profit and for-profit, manufacturing and service, large and small. As a manager, you could supervise processes, individuals, planning, development of ideas, coordination of functions, inventories, scheduling and more. Your College Degree The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management is designed to prepare you for a career with the knowledge and skills needed to become an effective, efficient manager. You will have an opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills through the choice of electives within the major. You will better understand many business and management areas, including human resources, operations, entrepreneurship, quality control, data analysis, and strategy. Your study will also include topics such as training and development, business plan development, labor relations, current issues in human resources management, creativity and innovation, group and team dynamics, international culture, quality control, strategic planning, motivation, decision making, service operations, product design, compensation, family business and more.
