I. Organized a Technical Fest “VIDHYUTRA-2k17” on 22nd & 23rd Feb, 2017 by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering coordinated by Mr. Ch. Venkata Kondiah.

II. GUEST LECTURES

1. Organized a Guest Lecture on “Experiences with Power Systems” by Dr. Ravindranath Gangopadhya, IIT, BHU, Varanasi on 22.03.2017 coordinated by Mr. K. Srikanth.

2. Organized a Guest Lecture on “Electric Vehicles – Architecture, Charging Solutions and Infrastructure challenges, Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics” by Dr. Allabakshi Naikodi, Head Electrical, Mahindra Reva, on 18.03.2017 co-ordinated by Ms. M.V.P. Lahari.

3. Organized a Guest Lecture on “Signature Modeling of Motor Analysis” by Sri M. S. Krishna Mohan garu, DGM, Vizag Steel Plant on 23-12-2016 co-ordinated by Dr. Satish Kumar Gudey.

4. Organized a Guest Lecture on “Renewable Energy Generation” by Mr. Kiran Kumar Munji, Senior Power System Engineer Consultant, M.P.E Renewable Energy & Power Systems Consultants, London, Greater London, United Kingdom, on 04-07-2016 coordinated by Sri. A.S.R. Sekhar, Assistant Professor, Dept. of EEE.

III. TRAINING PROGRAMMES / FDP/ WORKSHOPS ORGANIZED

1. Organized a 2-day Hands on Training programme on “Applications of Soft Computing Techniques to Power Systems” by Dr.S.Balamurugan and Dr.D.M.Vinod Kumar under TEQIP-II, S.C-1.2 on 6th and 7th March 2017 coordinated by Dr. T. S. Sirish from EEE Department.

2. Organized a 3 day National Workshop on “Differential Equations and Engineering Applications” on 21st – 23rd Dec, 2016 coordinated by P.Tejeswara Rao.

3. Organized a 3 day workshop on “Fractional Order Modelling in Engineering (FOME-2016)” on 26th to 28th Oct, 2016 coordinated by A.S.R. Sekhar.

4. Organized a one day workshop on “Reliability Evaluation of Engineering System” on 24th Oct, 2016 coordinated by Sri. K. Durga Malleswara Rao.

5. Organized a 3-Day workshop on “Internet of Things (IoT)” on 21st October to 23rd October, 2016 jointly organized by departments of CSE, ECE, IT and EEE coordinated by Ch. Venkat Rao.

6. Organized a 3-day Training Program on “SABER Training program” by Santoshi Rawat, EIGEN Technologies Pvt. Ltd on 08th – 10th July, 2016 coordinated by Dr. Sastry V.Vedula, Senior Professor, Dept of EEE.

1. Sri. A.S.R. Sekhar attended a One week Workshop on “Electric Power System” during 1st – 5th May, 2017 at IIT-Karagpur.

2. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu attended as a Resource Person for 2-day Workshop on “Green Power Technologies for Healthy Environment - Issues and Opportunities” in Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on March 25th & 26th 2017

5. Mr. P.Pavan Putra, Mr. Y.C.V. Kondaiah and Mrs. G. Vanitha have attended a 5 day National Workshop on “Engineering Optimization using MATLAB” on 15th to 19th Feb, 2017 at GVPCE (A).

6. Mr. K. Srikanth, Ms. M.V.P. Lahari and Mr. P.Sai Kumar attended 2-day workshop on “Research Communications: The Craft of WRITING, EDITING & PUBLISHING” conducted by the Department of English on 3rd & 4th Feb, 2017 at GVPCE (A).

7. Mr. K. Srikanth participated in 2-day workshop on “Introduction to Robotics” conducted on 9th -10th December, 2016 held at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.

8. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu and Dr. K. Narasimha Rao attended 3-day Workshop on “Smart Power Technologies” at CPRI, Bangalore on 30th Nov, 1st & 2nd Dec, 2016.

9. Mr. P. Tejeswara Rao attended IGBC’s Advanced Training Programme on “Green Buildings Rating System“ held on 27th Oct – 28th Oct at Vijayawada

10. Mrs. J. Usharani and D. Ganga Bhavani of GVPCE(A) participated in a National Conference and National Seminar on “INTELLIGENT SYSTEM FOR MORE CONNECTED WORLD-INTERNET OF THINGS” held on 24th – 25th October, 2016 AT Andhra Pradesh State Centre, Dr. KL Rao Bhavan, Governorpet, Vijayawada.

11. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu attended a 2-day workshop at “BMS Engg. College, Bengaluru & CII Learing Mission” on 24th – 26th Oct. 2016.

12. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu has attended and presented a “Presentation on Research Proposal at CPRI, Banglore” on 6th Oct, 2016.

13. Attended a “Management Development Program for Improved R & D and III at TEQUIP-II Institutions” on 19th to 23rd September, 2016 at Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Bella Vista: Hyderabad by Sri. A.S.R. Sekhar.

14. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu and Prof. T. Siva Prasad have been invited by QUALITY CIRCLE FORUM of INDIA, Visakhapatnam as a Jury Member (Chair as Judges) for evaluating Model Presentations at their Annual Chapter Conventions during 22nd & 23rd Sep, 2016 at Hotel Green park, Visakhapatnam.

15. Mr. P. Pawan Putra and B. Deva Krishna has participated University Workshop on “DIGITAL INDIA” on 29th Aug, 2016.

16. Dr. C.V.K. Bhanu attended a Workshop on “High Penetration of Renewable Energy in Smart Grid – Prospects & Challenges” during 5th & 6th Aug, 2016.

17. Five number of Faculties attended a 2-day workshop on “Cutting Edge ICT Technologies on Teaching-Learning Process and to increase competence in Research” on 27th and 28th of August, 2016 for faculty of GVP Institution in Rushikonda campus by Prof. G.V.R. Sastry, Prof. M.P. Gupta, Prof. Manoj Kumar Sarma, Prof. Sushil from IIT – Delhi.

VI. CONSULTANCY

1. HBL Power Systems Limited, Hyderabad referred to as consultant with GVPCE (A) has extended the period for 6 months from Sep 2016 as on referred by 01-01-2016.

VII. RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT 1. An amount of Rs. 80 Lakhs has been granted for FIST in the college level coordinated by Dr. C.V.K.
