Dental Office in Toronto & Richmond Hill
Your teeth and your smile are of top priority here at Noble Dentistry, where we cater to each of
our patients as an honorable guest and help you feel as comfortable as you are at home.
Dental Hygiene, Teeth Cleaning
Dental Hygiene Tips ● Brush twice a day, every day.
● Ensure that your brushing method is accurate and you brush all surfaces of your teeth
for at least 2 minutes.
● Use a mouthwash daily, at least once, to let fluoride strengthen your teeth, keep your
gums healthy and to give you fresh, clean breath!
Oral Cancer Screening
Diagnosing oral cancer at an early stage is crucial to treating it immediately. Signs and symptoms of Oral Cancer ● Dark red or white patches located in
your mouth, or on your tongue or on
your lips.
● Change in the color of the soft tissue
inside your mouth.
● Open sores inside your mouth that
don’t heal.
● Problems or difficulty swallowing.
● Change in taste or change in tongue
sensation.
Sport Mouthguard
The Academy of General Dentistry
recommends the use of mouth-guards for
all sportsmen and athletes. Be it ice
skating, basketball, soft ball, soccer,
football, wrestling, rugby, baseball or even
skateboarding or bicycling, a mouthguard
is always advised in order to save the teeth
and face from any traumatic damage
during a sports accident.
Your dentist can provide you with custom-
made mouthguards that help to keep your
teeth, gums, tongue and even your lips
safe from excessive injury.
The lips tend to be affected first, being
forced into the teeth and suffering deep
lacerations.
Tooth Sensitivity Treatment
Dentinal sensitivity — You might be able to reduce your chances of dentinal sensitivity by:
● Using a fluoride toothpaste and
mouthwash.
● Brushing twice a day and flossing daily.
● Using a toothpaste that provides
protection against sensitivity.
● Using a soft or ultra-soft toothbrush and
gently brushing up and down.
● Filling worn away surfaces due to hard
brushing
● Removing all calculus and tartar that
exposes root surfaces by creating pockets
between gums and teeth
● Placing onlays or crowns over
excessively worn tooth surfaces
● Replacing old/damaged fillings
● Reducing intake of acidic food and
drinks
