WHAT THE TEETH SYMBOLIZE------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our teeth represent strength, being able tobite into life's situations, tear them down, chewthem up, prepare them for digestion in themouth and the rest of the body.

Teeth also symbolize our decision making. Wehave sayings about teeth and thinking, e.g.,

- "Getting chewed out" means getting scoldedfor a bad decision

- "Let me chew on that a while" means youwant time to think about something, whichcould mean making a decision

- "A kick in the teeth" indicates a verbal, physical or emotional assault or situationThey open to allow things to enter our mouth,or close tightly to reject input.-------------------------------------------------------------------------

POTENTIAL EMOTIONAL CAUSES-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Decay of the teeth may involve any ofthese fears:

- Afraid of relationships or situations breakingdown and falling apart

- The erosion of one's hopes, dreams andrelationships

- Massive, never-ending anxiety, a mentalgrinding of the mind for a decision (stress-caused teeth grinding)

- The loss of protection (enamel), feeling underassault (bacteria)- Afraid to speak your mind leading to dried up

communication (dry mouth)

Bad oral hygiene and eating acidic, sugary foods

can be caused by fears about past, present or

future life situations.

While you brush and floss your teeth each day,

why not mentally repeat an affirmation like:

"With every stroke of this toothbrush, I NOW

clear all harmful bacteria and emotions that

are blocking the total well being of my mouth!"
