UPDATE PROCESS FOR THE VOLVO SENSUS NAVIGATION SYSTEM.

Map Version Identification

Go to the vehicle’s navigation menu and select Settings/ System Information/Map Version.

Update Procedure

1. Purchase an update VNS disc and PIN code from the following website:

2. Remove all CDs from the vehicles audio system. 3. Insert the updated VNS disc into the audio CD player.

4. The update process will start automatically and you will be asked to start the update by selecting the “OK” button. The “OK” button is shown in the picture on the right below.

5. The update process will ask if you are ready to start the download and ask that you select the “OK” button again.

6. The system will then ask you to input the PIN code you were given when you purchased the updated VNS disc. Use the audio system’s preset buttons to input your PIN code. PLEASE NOTE that the audio system preset buttons for position 2 and position 3 will start with the letters A,B,C for preset 2 and D,E,F for preset 3. If you continue to select past these letters you will then get the number 2 and number 3.

7. The update will then start and takes approximately one hour to complete. The vehicle can be turned off during the update. The system will prompt again on the next restart to re-commence the update.

8. If the update is paused or stopped part way you will be prompted to reinsert the update VNS disc.

9. The screen will advise when the update has completed. Eject the update VNS disc from the audio system and the process is complete.
