LOGO Your Camera’s Depth of Field is very Crucial for Capturing Bokeh

Bokehs are nothing but the blurred backgrounds having small lights all around. When blurred, the lights get captured as small multicolored balls seem to be floating in the air.

To capture bokehs you will have to partially blur the background. Use a low aperture value to produce a shorter depth of field that will blur your background. You can also do this by reducing the focal length.

This is because if you blur the background completely, it will not be aesthetically pleasing and moreover, it will not give you the perfect bokeh effect.

While trying to reduce the aperture value, do not try to use the lowest value.

Leave some details in your background to let the viewers see some shapes, colors, etc.

Prefer the Expensive Lenses and Photography Background Accessories

This is because the expensive lenses have more blades and when used, they have better chances of giving you circular bokehs.

The inexpensive ones will give you irregular shaped bokehs that have their own charm.

LOGOCustomize the Aperture of Your Lens to Get Unique Bokeh

Not happy with the circular or hexagonal bokehs? Why not try getting some unique shapes by customizing your lens?

Take a small black piece of paper and cut out your desired shape at its center. Paste this paper on your lens right at its center.

Now use a low aperture setting to click your photographs. You may not get the exact shapes but they will be different and unique.

LOGO Shape Your Bokeh by Changing Your Aperture Setting

Changing your aperture size will change the shape of the bokeh; the larger the aperture, the rounder will be the bokehs and vice versa.

Keep playing with your photography studio accessories to create your own style.
