Demon Legion Exorcism StoryMark 5:1-20

Try to imagine yourself as one of Jesus’ disciples as you hear this story. Your boat lands on the seashore and an insane, violent, and naked man possessed by thousands of demons runs up to Jesus and collapses at his feet. The demon army inside of the man’s body begins a conversation with Jesus. When the Master commands them to leave the man, you witness with your own eyes those thousands of demons screaming as they flee the man’s body and enter a herd of pigs that race down the hillside and drown themselves. The local shepherds in horror and dumbfounded shock beg your leader to leave, and as you’re climbing into the boat, Jesus commissions the man who was just delivered to go to a ten-city region and preach the gospel as his ambassador. As you make disciples of people who don’t yet follow Jesus, don’t worry about their reaction to these stories. Trust the Father, obey the Son, and listen to the Holy Spirit as you give these stories as gifts to your neighbors. The Lord will take care of the rest.
