UPS SERVICING

maintenance their life can be extended. Maintenance allows our technician to determine the condition of batteries and components, actioning corrective or remedial action upon request.

The maintenance inspection involves a detailed examination and audit of the equipment, its internal and external condition, the battery, alarm states and inter faces to other equipment. A report detailing the condition, status and overall per formance of the UPS is provided upon completion.

LIGHTING SURVEYS

Poor lighting and/or the lack of emergency lighting and illuminated signage during power failure or emergency situations can lead to serious workplace incidents. These incidents could af fect both workers and others.

Section 40(d) of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (WHS Regulation) requires that a person conducting a business or undertaking (PCBUs) ensures, so far as is reasonably practicable, that lighting enables:

• each worker to carry out work without risk to health and safety

• persons to move within the workplace without risk to health and safety

• safe evacuation in an emergency.

Our expert team uses the latest, high tech, Fluke testing equipment to evaluate step and touch potentials, soil resistivity, earth continuity, fall of potential contours, earth slope and earth grid testing to ensure that required electrical structures and components meet the Australian Standards for earthing.

LIGHTNING STRIKE PROTECTION SYSTEMS

A lightning protection system provides a conductive path between a terminal and earth, allowing the majority of lightning current to follow the lightning protection system, with less current traveling through f lammable materials and causing building, personnel and equipment damage and injuries.

Periodic maintenance on your lightning protection, surge protection and earthing systems is paramount. Our maintenance team will inspect lightning rods and other equipment for damage, assess earthing systems, check for loose connections, conf irm the continuity of pathways from electrodes and lightning rods, inspect surge protection devices and provide reporting.
