Clay modelling activity was con-

ducted for the students of classes II-Vl. The students while smoothing

their fingers over the glazed surface

of clay developed an idea of shape,

form, perspective and a three-

dimensional world. Rolling, squeez-ing and forming the clay items re-

tained the artists’ attention for

hours. All were mesmerized by the

therapeutic quality of clay.

A special assembly on Conservation Day was conducted by the green

crusaders of Delhi Public School

Asansol on November 25, 2017.

TACKLE

An Inter-House Kabaddi competi-

tion was organized by Delhi Public

School, Asansol on November 28, 2017. The final was intense as the

participants from both Jhelum and

Ravi houses were determined to

win the competition. In a seesaw

battle, both teams showed glimpses of why they were the finalists by

winning over the amazed spectators.

Eventually, Jhelum House won the

final against a very resilient Ravi

House with a score of 89- 53.

DANCE MANIA

With the aim of honing the dancing

skills of the students, an Inter-House

Dance Competition was organized by Delhi Public School for students

of classes Nursery- class-IX on

November 28, 2017. The vivacious

dancers set the floor on fire with

classes: II –VIII was held on De-

cember 13, 2017.The students exhibited their artistic flair and

their creations. Children came up

with amazing artwork. The artisti-

cally coloured sheets were a treat to the eyes.

The pleasant day December 13, 2017 was just right for food

fest. The children carried their

tiffins and favourite snacks to the

school ground. It was really pleas-

ant to watch them sharing their lunch with each other.

vided an exciting opportunity to its students of classes: VI to IX to

visit Annapurna Biscuit factory as a part of an educational trip.

Students were not only glad to

see the manufacturing of a variety

of biscuits but grasped fair amount

It was a pleasure to see the stu-

dents of classes: Nursery to III

play in gay abandon in Panaroma Water Park after tucking into the

yummy preparations. Bright

smiles, sounds of laughter, the

cacophony of excited voices enliv-ened the environment.

A visit to the Cheshire Home

helped the students to get sensi-

tized towards community service and helped inculcate humanitarian

and philanthropic attitude in life.

Apart from distributing clothes,

sweets and other goodies, a few of them managed to strike a

chord with the residents pretty

A three days and two nights Win-

ter Camp at Bero in Purulia from

December 18- 21, 2017 was orga-nized by Delhi Public School,

Asansol in collaboration with

Indian Institute of Skiing and

Mountaineering (IISM). The camp-ers equipped themselves with

essential requirements needed for

trekking, hiking, crafts, campfire

activities and a wide range of

games.

students of DPS Asansol marched

proudly in perfect synchroniza-

acid attack. The dance recitals involv-

ing various movements, mesmerizing

formations engrossed the audiences to

the core.
