spacecraft and launcher applications"

5. Scope The scope of the document includes generic qualification for all types of adhesives from structural based systems to nonstructural applications and shall consider all aspects of the adhesive lifetime in spacecraft applications such as AIT, on-ground thermal cycling, long term storage (exposure to environmental humidity, creep loads or pre-loads, etc.), pre-launch, launch and operational environments. The scope is limited to generic requirements for qualification and does not cover specific functional requirements (although functional performance needs to be verified as part of the environmental qualification). NOTE: Existing standards (ECSS or otherwise) for very specific qualification aspects will be drawn on where necessary.

6. Environmental aspects

CEN/CLC/TC 5/WG 6 - Upstream standards

4. Title EN 16602-70-17 "Space product assurance - Durability testing of coatings and surface finishes"

5. Scope This standard covers primarily two key types of coating: Coatings on optical components (e.g. AR/HR coatings, interference filters, wavelength selective coatings) Thermal control and thermo-optical coatings (e.g. paints, chemical conversion coatings, coatings applied by physical deposition processes) Other miscellaneous coatings will also be considered by the working group for inclusion, and they will be assessed on case by case basis e.g: Protective coatings (e.g. ATOX protection coating on MLI) Conductive coatings for ESD control Coatings for abrasion resistance (e.g hard coatings on bearings) The standard includes coatings and surface finishes to be used during in-orbit and on-ground phases. It will be limited to environmental durability test requirements and it will not cover specific functional performance requirements (although of course functional performance needs to be verified as part of the environmental qualification). NOTE: Existing standards (ECSS or otherwise) for related aspects will be referenced where necessary (e.g. adhesion testing, laser induced damage testing, testing of cover glass coatings etc.).

Specifications for storm water boxes made of PP and PVC

5. Scope This Part of EN XXXX gives the definitions and specifies the requirements for injection moulded and extruded thermoplastics boxes, including integral components, used in underground systems for infiltration, attenuation and storage of non-potable water [e.g. storm water] and manufactured from unplasticized poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC-U), polypropylene (PP) or polypropylene with mineral modifier (PP-MD). These products are intended for underground use in landscape, pedestrian or vehicular traffic areas and are used outside the building structure (application area code U ). These boxes are intended to be used as elements in a modular system. This European Standard is only applicable to boxes where the manufacturer has clearly stated in the documentation how the components shall be assembled to create a complete infiltration, attenuation or storage construction. Sub component(s) can be manufactured by various methods e.g. extrusion, injection moulding, rotational moulding, thermoforming and low-pressure injection moulding. A box can either be factory assembled or site assembled from different components.
