I am confident that he will contribute positively to any organization. I supervised Benon during a data management internship with DelAgua Health in Kigali, Rwanda in Summer 2015. We are an international organization that specializes in distribution of health technologies, such as water filters and cookstoves, in developing countries. Benon was tasked with updating our beneficiary list, which required proficiency with several computer applications and protection of sensitive data. He displayed a professional manner, great attention to detail, the work ethic needed to meet tight deadlines, and above all, an eagerness to learn. Since I travel out of the country often, I particularly appreciated his ability to work without direct supervision and willingness to use diverse communication methods. Additionally, he collaborated well with the other interns and showed a talent for teamwork. As a talented youth in Rwanda, Benon presented a passion for using his skills to further the progress of his country and its people. He devoted his summer break to provide essential functions for our Tubeho Neza program, a massive effort to provide the poorest 30% of Rwandans with access to safe drinking water, reduced exposure to air pollution, and reduced consumption of fuel wood. Benon has proven to be engaged and intentional in following his interests. As someone familiar with Benon’s work experience, I can recommend him as a valuable addition to other organizations in which he has the opportunity to become involved.
