High school teachersAccording to the US Bureau of Labor and statistics (BLS), high school teachers held 1.1 million jobs in 2008. The BLS also reported that employment opportunities were expected to grow by 9% between the years 2008 and 2018, though this growth would be dependent on various levels of education spending in each state and locality.

Kindergarten and Elementary School TeachersAccording to the Us Bureau of Labor Statistics, elementary school teachers held 1.5 million jobs in 2008.
