COMMUNICATION Good statisticians need to be effective communicators. The results you will get, will mean nothing if you cannot interpret and explain them to others. Therefore, clear and concise communication is a major goal of this course.

Finding a solution and writing down just an answer are not sufficient for this class. You must be able and willing to explain the process needed to achieve to your work.

MISCELLANEOUS AP COURSE INFORMATION Students wishing to drop an AP course are required to have a parent-teacher contact prior to the schedule change.

CALCULATOR USAGE As technology advances in the world so does its use in math. This no truer than the use of a graphing calculators in AP Statistics.

The most important aspect of the class is understanding concepts. The calculator aids in this by allowing students to cut down on the amount work and calculations that must be done by hand.

It is imperative that you have access to a ti-84 graphing calculator in and outside of class. In class I will assign each one of you a calculator. If you do not have access to one outside of class you will need to check one out from the library.

TOPIC OVERVIEW

GRADING POLICY TEST- 70% -Test will be modeled after the AP Exam, and will consists of part multiple-choice and part free questions. All test must be completed in the time allotted.
