VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTREVTC is the training centre which provides safety training to every member of the company.

In this section training officer provides complete detail about the company.

In this centre training is provided by Engineers or the managers of the company so that workers can work efficiently in their respective working areas.

All Safety Features are told to be followed.

Dividation of Deposite Blocks:

GeologyJhamarkotra region is characterised by a proterozoic meta-sedimentary rock.It pits lie entirely in Aravalli rock formation.The main rock types encountered in mine area are dolomite,quartzite,gneisse.The area has structural complexity with several generation of folding,faulting and distinct jointing pattern. Discontinuties are there between B and C block and another between E and F block.

DRILLING SECTIONDrilling on hole is the most important operation in open cast mine. There are three types of drilling machines and two compressors are available.Types of drilling machines: 1. IDM-45D :- 8.5(215mm) dia(tricon bit) 2. IBH-10 :- 6.5(165mm) dia(button bit with hammer) 3. ICM-260 :- 4.5(115mm) dia(hole at any angle, button bit with rod)

IDM 45D:- length of drill rode : 7.62m Diameter of drill : 215mm (8.5) Total drill depth : 11m Number of rodes used : Two Penetration rate :15.34m/hr Drilling rate : 13.95m/hr Spacing : 6.5m Burden : 4.5m Pattern :Square pattern

DRILL IBH 10 and IDM45D

BLASTING:For breaking of rocks ANFO and emulsion is used for explosive.In ammonium nitrate 6%fuel oil(disel)is mixed .Mixing is done at site of blasting in mixing machine.Detonating fuse is used having PETN.Non electric and Electonic detonators are used for initialization of booster.Blasting time at Jhamarkotra mine was 1.30PM-2.30PM.NONEL system of blasting is used mostly.

Calculation:-Booster used 650gm(400+250) *22=14.3kgExplosive used:-1st Round 100kg*22=2200kg2nd Round (after decking)30kg*22=660kgTotal explosive used =14.3+2200+660=2874.3kgTonnage calculation:-Spacing*Burden*depth*density *no of holes 6.5*4.5*11*2.2*22=15572.7tonneP/f=Tonnage/explosive usedp/f=15572.7/2874.3=5.41t/kg

Operation of blasting

Booster is used at top 250gm & bottom 400 gm.

Detonating fuse is used having PETN.

25 and 50 ms delay is used.

For igniting detonating fuse 2 detonator are used.

From blast shelter blasting is done. For 6inch hole :- ANFO used 80kg at bottom and 20 kg after decking. If Emulsion used : 100kg at bottom and 30kg after decking.

Blasting Accessories At RSMML:DTH=(450ms,500ms) Length=3m,5m,6m,8m,10m,12m,14m PETN=2gm/m TLD=(17ms,25ms,42ms,42ms,50ms) Length=3m,5m,6m,8m Cartrige used pink colour 125mm(Capsensitive). Cartrige used green clour 125mm(non capsensitive) Boosters =125gm,175gm,250gm,400gm.

SHOVEL SECTIONThe shovels used in RSMML mines is hydraulically operated.

After blasting the fragmental material it is loaded in to dumper by hydraulic excavators.

It can load 10 to 12 dumpers in one hour.

All shovels are of BEML company and each costs above 3 crore .6.5m^3 and 5.5m^3 Shovel are used for loading.

Loading at D block RSMML

DUMPER SECTIONDumpers are used for the transportation purpose of raw materials.

Dumpers unload the raw materials to the dumping yard ,IBP and crushing plant.

Each dumper costs more than 3 crore .

Currently there are 15 dumpers in the RSMML.

Tubeless tyres are used in dumpers.

CRUSHING PLANTIn RSMML ltd there are two crushing plants: (a) Low grade ore crushing plant(LGO) (b) High grade ore crushing plant(HGO)

LOW GRADE ORE CRUSHING PLANTObtain from open cast mines.

It contains 16% to 19% of phosphate.

This low percent ore is made rich upto 34% of phosphate in an IBP plant.

In LGO plant cone crusing and double face jaw crushing are used.

Then the final product is dumped in the dumping yard and then sold in the market.

HIGH GRADE ORE CRUSHING PLANTThere are two HGO plants in RSMML. (1) Old crushing plant capacity 120 tones/hr,established in 1971. (2) New crushing plant- capacity 180 tones/hr,established in 1992.

It contains 34% of phosphate and can be directly sold to the market.

Jaw crushers are used in HGO plant.

INDUSTRIAL BENIFICATION PLANTThe low grade ore which contain 16% to 19% phosphate is treated with some chemicals like phosphoric acid, sulphuric acid.

Then it converted into high grade ore with 34% phosphate concentration.

After this the output product is dumped in the dumping yard.

From dumping yard these final product is loaded in the dumpers.

There can be more than 200 products made from treating this final material with different ingredient and then they can be directly used.

For final product the material is given to many small companies like Rama Phosphate etc which makes final product.

Products of RSMML Jamarkotra30%P2O5 rock phosphate(SSP single super phosphate).

31.5%P2O5 rock phosphate(non SSP) (For phos Acid Manufacturing -12mm).

31.54%P2O5 benefied rock phosphate(for Fertilizer 200 mesh).

18%P2O5 rock phosphate(Rajphos) (Fertilizer for direct application in acidic soils).
