Dedication induced leadership
I wonder why most of the big government initiatives (read projects) in our
country fails or performs poorly despite big budgets, backup supports and
technical expertise at the same time difficult projects like building a temple or
organizing a religious function with meager budgets amidst strong adversary &
opposition finally comes up with all glories and right on time.
Even if this 2nd type of projects had been taken up by the poor class of people it
would have been made despite every difficulty and adversary. The stark
contrast is the 2nd type of projects is religious in nature. Had it been something
different say building a house or a road or a hospital it would have faced the
same fate that of the bigger and dashing projects.
This forces me to settle on only one assumption - dedication is maximum of
the project executioners towards the project in the name of religion. This also
entails another fact that most of the big projects are executed very shabbily
because it lacks dedication and able leadership. Together this is also bringing
into another theory that the leadership gets a real boost up when the project is
religious in nature.
Dedication results in high degree of great performing leadership We haveplenty of examples for that.
My poor secondary school did not have a good house , no library not even
required number of teachers but the head master was a great leader and a
dedicated teacher. Under his guidance the school that time every year produced
many star performing students in the board exams. Teaching was his sole
purpose of living such was his dedications. The same school today has a
stunning building , countless number of books in the library and a big budget
but the result is very mediocre. Dedication inducted leadership is certainly not
there now.
Go to any slam of Mumbai or to any poor village around Vindhyanagr one
would find beautiful temples with tiled walls & hanging bells amidst poor
dwellings where even a decent sanitation facility is not available. Surprisingly

the condition of the temple is maintained year after year. Paintings are done
regularly so are the pujas and offerings.
Many a times I've seen leaders try to personify the big projects before
beginning of the execution in the form of religion Like making 'puja' ,
breaking coconuts or putting 'tilak' on the alter etc. but as the days rolled intomonths and years that personification vanishes into thin air. The leaders
become oblivion of the personification and the dedication gets long lost. The
delay starts.
It's also very doubtful if that religious personification can really work in the
case of big projects like power plant , roadways or Dams. But certainly if
dedication can be brought into the minds of leadership at all levels of the
project it would create wonderful results.
I wonder if there is a way by which it can inject religion induced leadership in
the minds of people involved in a big government projects.
