N.2: Based on Hawaiian Electric and Hawai'i Electric Light 2013 annual filings (revised 5/14/13), Maui Electric 2013 amounts are based on the revised 2013 target filing made on 6/19/13 which decreased target revenues to reflect adjustments made in the 2012 test year as ordered in Decision and Order No. 31288, issued on May 31, 2013. Bill impacts to customers based on the effective 2013 Maui Electric RBA rate adjustment rates (filed on 5/14/13) are $4.84 for Maui Division and $3.23 for Moloka'i and Lana'i Divisions. N.3: The RBA Rate Adjustment for each year replaces the RBA Rate Adjustment for the prior year and represents the cumulative escalation of costs from the revenue requirement approved in the last rate case (i.e., 2011 for Hawaiian Electric, 2010 for Hawai'i Electric Light and 2012 for Maui Electric). The resulting RBA Rate Adjustment rate is assessed in addition to the Company's current base rates. N.4: The bill impact shows the impact of the RBA Rate Adjustment on a typical residential customer bill for each island. As explained in N.3, the RBA Rate Adjustment for each year replaces the RBA Rate Adjustment for the prior year and represents the cumulative escalation of costs from the revenue requirement approved in the last rate case.
