CALL IT SWEETOur spin on the ruffle trend? Adding texture with torn ruffles. Just

create small tears with the ball tool when shaping. P.S. This technique looks best when the ruffles face upward, unlike traditional techniques.

Get fab fondant details with mini star cutters, a

circle cut-and-press tool, ribbon cutters and gum paste wire (for standing

pieces up).

WORLDS OF COLORThis one’s great for mamas with little helpers—you do the outlines, and kiddos color them in! All you’ll need are prepared fondant and edible markers. Tip: Add 3D shapes (like this paisley) with cookie or fondant cutters.

TREAT DREAMSA cake like this is decoration all its own. Use a diamond impression mat to help you cut exact shapes or make imprints. And for the dreamcatcher, press a doily to fondant and use the imprint as a guide for cuts.

RUFFLE LIFESome cakes radiate celebration—

and this is one of them, thanks to ruffles and beaded trim. For

the border, pop fondant straight into a bead border mold. And for

ruffles, use a ball tool to shape the edges of fondant strips.
