WhilesomeGmestheyfeeltheirdecisionsaremadeintheinterestofeducators,Ifeeltherearemanypoliciesthathavenobusinessinpublicschools.
Wearesupposedtodowhatisbestforstudents,butmanyGmesdecisionsaremadebythosewhohaveneverbeenina
classroom.Thesepoliciesaremeanttoholdsomeoneaccountable,howevertheyareholdingthewrongpeoplesoleyresponsiblefortheeducaGonofouryouth.WhenthisstringofpoliciesbecomestoomuchthatateacherisspendingmoreGmefulfillingduGesthanteaching,itisGmeforthecommunitytomakeachange.
TheyhavetestedstudentstoomanyGmes.Studentdatadoesnottakeintoaccountoutsideofschoolinfluences.TeachersaremorethaneducatorsandneedGmetospendonsocialdevelopmentandbuildingglobalciGzens.TeachersareheldaccountableforthescoresofstudentswithoutconsideraGonofthestudents’aptudetowardschooland
learning.TeachersareexpectedtodifferenGatelessonsformulGplelearninglevelsandabiliGesinoneclassroomClassroomsareoverloadedandoneononeGmeislimited.Policymakershaven’ttakentheGmetocomeintoschoolsandseewhatwedo.Teachershaveprotestedoverandoveragainaboutthesepolicies.WehaveheldMoralMondaystryingtoinfluencethe
legislaturetoworkwithustomakeourschoolsthebesttheycanbe.Wehavevotedincandidateswefeltwouldhelpusachieveourgoals.
ItisbecauseofthesereasonsIfeelitisGmeforeducatorstobreakawayfrompolicymakersandtakecontrolofeducaGon.
Indoingsowecanincorporateteststhataccommodateourlearners.Wecancreatepersonalporqoliosforstudentsexplainingoutsideforcesthathaveimpactedstudentlearning.Wecandevelopmeaningfullessonsoutsideoftestedcurriculumtobringunderstandingtoourstudents.
