What can we find?It will be interesting?Do we learn something? All these questions will be answer ourselfes at
the end.
What is an ecosystem?• An ecosystem refers to the organisms which live in a
particular area, the relationships between them, and their physical environment.
• Ecosystems have two components: -biocenosis: is the set of living beings in the ecosystem. -biotope: is the inorganic part of the ecosystem, the physical
environment.
Zones • There are three main different types of
climate zone: Frigid zone(cold zone)
Tundra
Taiga
Temperate zone
Deciduous forest
Mediterranean forest
torrid zone(hot zone)
Grasslalnd
Desert
Rainforest
Biomes• A biome is a large-scale ecosystems of the
world. • A fundamental classification of biomes are:
• Are ecoystems where organisms can live on land, surrounded by air.
Terrestrial ecosystem
• Are ecosystems where creatures can live surrounded by water.
Aquatic ecosystem
Characteristics
• Deciduous forest are found in regions with cold winters and abundant rainfall.
• Deciduous forest has 4 seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter. In autumn the leaves change of color. During the winter months the trees lose their leaves.
• Is found in the temperate zone.
Flora
• Plants are adapted to survive in these conditions. Some trees have leaves that absorbs sunlight and water.
• These trees lost their leaves and make the soil rich and fertile.
Fauna
• Many of the animals that we know are found in this kind of forest.
• The animals adapt to the climate by hibernating in winter and living off the land in the other three seasons.
