Happy Holidays! January is Glaucoma Awareness Month!
From flying in his space ship bed in the Space Cottage at Sunshine Foundation’s Dream Village to the Magic Kingdom
at Walt Disney World, Chase , 10 years old with cerebral palsy, had a trip to remember. Riding the Buzz Lightyear ride
was his favorite, but Winnie the Pooh was a close second. He even made a large group of friends in Walt Disney World!
Chase’s dream was sponsored by the Batchelor Foundation
“We can't express how much this meant to us in words.”

38 years ago Sunshine
Foundation started with one
dream. Bobby, a 4 year old
diagnosed with Leukemia,
dreamed of seeing snow.
Bill Sample, a Philadelphia
cop stationed on protective
duty at St. Christopher’s
Hospital saw the struggle
families with sick children went through every
day, so he started Sunshine Foundation by
taking Bobby and his family on a trip to the
Pocono Mountains. 38 years later Sunshine
Foundation has granted over 37,000 dreams.
