1) Bhasha Sangam:

� The Central Government has launched ‘Bhasha Sangam’, a unique initiative to

introduce school students to learn 22 Indian languages.

� Bhasha Sangam is a programme for schools and educational institutions to offer

multilingual exposure to students in Indian languages

� It also aims to improve linguistic tolerance and respect and promote national

integration.

2) India, China Protocol:

� India and China signed a protocol on hygiene and inspection requirements for

the exports.

� This move will help India to start export of fish meal and fish oil to China. So

far, China had not allowed these exports by India. It had earlier allowed import

of rice from India.

3) Indo-Indonesian Business Forum:

� The first ever India Indonesia Business forum (IIBF) was held at Port

Blair in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

� Rs.5912 crore project aims to alleviate the drinking water problems of

� Australia became the first country in the world to criminalize the act of

� The Modern Slavery Bill was passed by both houses of parliament and under it

the new law, so-called “orphanage trafficking” will be treated as a slavery and

trafficking offense.

6) Legal Entity Identifier (LEI):

� Reserve Bank of India (RBI) made Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) code

mandatory for all market transactions regulated by the central bank.

� The LEI is a 20-character unique identity code assigned to entities who are

� France revoked the honour of Freedom of Paris Award from the Myanmar

Leader Aung San Suu Kyi due to failure on Myanmar’s Rohingya minority
