AlamoTM Mexican Sycamore was chosen from thousands of seedlings to have unique desirable characteristics. The Mexican Sycamore is a majestic shade tree towering up to 80 feet in height with large maple-like leaves that are dark green on top and silvery white below. This distinctive tree is also noted for its beautiful, smooth, white exfoliating bark. Mexican Sycamore is more resistant to disease problems and better adapted to dry, rocky alkaline soils than other species of Sycamores. This fast growing giant is a great choice for Texas. A New PoolPlans are underway to build the next pool at Cross Creek Ranch. The new pool will be adjacent to and south of the Canine Commons, and it will be home to the future CCR Swim Team! The new pool is expected to open in May 2013 – just in time for the 2013 swim season. More details coming soon!

The annual meeting of the Cross Creek Ranch Community Association will be held Wednesday, December 5th at 7 pm at the Irene Stern Community Center. The Center is located at 6920 Katy Fulshear Road west of Cross Creek Ranch. All residents are invited to attend.

Mommy Swagger in Cross Creek Ranch

Holiday of Lights Decorating ContestHelp make the holiday season bright in Cross Creek Ranch! Get in the spirit and decorate your home for the Holiday of Lights Decorating Contest by December 12th. Judging will begin at 6 pm, and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will be notified December 14th. The winning homes will be featured in the newsletter, receive a Holiday of Lights Contest lawn sign and a gift card.

Are you interested in being a judge for the Holiday of Lights Decorating Contest? Judges must be available on Wednesday, December 12th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Email Robin Mitchell at [email protected] for more information.

Contest Rules: Must be a homeowner within Cross Creek Ranch. Home decorations can include any lighting scheme, house or lawn ornaments, luminaries, etc. Judging will take place on Wednesday evening, December 12th. All homes in Cross Creek Ranch with holiday lights will be judged. Homes must have their lights on from 6 to 8:30 pm for judging.

Mommy Swagger, a craft show designed to promote women-owned local businesses who handcraft unique goods, was held in November in the Cross Creek Ranch Community Room. The event featured nearly 30 local businesses with 10 of them

being Cross Creek Ranch residents selling their homemade arts/craft and goodies.
