Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
We are actively trying to get Sara Evans, Missouri native, to come to Qatar and perform for us. We
created a video invitation and posted it on YouTube along with our Facebook page. You can help us
get her here by using the following link to our Facebook and click on the YouTube video.

2012! It is hard to be-
lieve but it is upon us.
The New Year marks yet
another milestone in our
journey. One I am sure
that we are all glad to
mark off of our calendar.
Things here in Qatar are
ever changing, in fact
the only constant is
change. Since our last
newsletter SFC Howard-
has been selected to be
the head of the DFAC
here on Camp As Sayli-
yah and SFC Stoebe will
soon be taking over as
the NCOIC of the tax
preparation center. The
2175th has begun to fill
much needed vacancies
on the post and we are
glad to do so. As a result
of these changes we
COMMANDER’S CORNER
First, I hope everyone had a good
Holiday Season. In speaking with a
lot of the Solders they seemed to
enjoy the time as best as they could.
The Camp tried very hard to make
the holidays here different from
other days to include the activities
and meals that were provided. I had
the opportunity to serve your Sol-
diers with both a Thanksgiving and
Christmas meal which I thoroughly
enjoyed. The Commander was right
beside me as I too served his portion
as well. Same scene for both meals.
As the Holiday season moves past us
we are still focused on increasing
and improving the Camp around us
in many ways. Your Soldiers have
done an outstanding job and have
been recognized for that work from
the CENTCOM Command Sergeant
Major as well as The Adjutant Gen-
eral of the Missouri Army National
Guard General Danner and State Ser-
geant Major CSM Schulte. I am
very proud of all of our Soldiers here
and the jobs that they are doing.
Know that they are constantly think-
ing of you all back home as I have
spent time with them. Once again,
Happy Holidays!
1SG PROUDLY PRESENTS
FRG SPOTLIGHT
After getting everything taken care of with the
Christmas party and raffle, we were able to
donate to the Combs family $500 from the
regular raffle and $179 from the 50/50 raffle.
Shelia has started her round of treatment for the
next 6 or 7 weeks. Please keep her in your
prayers.
It seems like we have had several new arrivals
within the unit, and expecting more before too
long. We have been well blessed.
I am looking forward to another short
year, it seems like 2011 has just flown
by, hopefully 2012 will be the same
way.
Happy New Year from the Good Old
USA!
Mama Z
have moved two new
personnel to platoon
sergeants, SFC Stark
and SFC Williams.
Please welcome then to
their new and challeng-
ing roles. The last few
months have moved
very quickly for us. I
pray they have moved
just as quickly for those
at home!
