A WORD FROM THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR
Hello Dancing Cows!
The month of December has finally arrived, which means frosty
winds and holiday season. Once we get through our finals, we will
finally have time to spend on family, friends, relaxation, and
service opportunities!
After the December DCM, our next meeting will be at the Division
Conclave. I am very excited to meet and train the next
Lieutenant Governor for Division 18 East; I know we will be in good
hands! Be sure to plan to have delegates present at Conclave to
vote for your next division leader.
Candidate Training Conference (CTC) will be held on Saturday,
December 6th at Kingsburg High School. Be mindful of registration
deadlines and complete any necessary forms needed to run for
Lieutenant Governor as soon as possible.
Club elections should be held in late December or early January
prior to the on-time DCON Registration deadline: January 15th.
Reach out to members who show leadership and encourage
them to try running for a position! Every member is a leader!
As always, if you have any questions or concerns at all, do not
hesitate to ask! I can always answer questions or at least point
you in the right direction. The best way to reach me is by email
(included below). If you happen to have questions about running
for a leadership position, the structure of Key Club, or anything at
all, I am always available to help.
It has truly been a pleasure serving as your Lieutenant Governor
so far. I cannot wait to see how much we can accomplish
together in these next few months of the term! I hope everyone
has a wonderful break and holiday season. Thank you for all that
you do!
Dancing in Service,
Ruby Aujla
D18E Lieutenant Governor
A WORD FROM THE DIVISION LEADERSHIP TEAM
Hello amazing Dancing Cows!
The holiday season is upon us! Our long needed and awaited winter break is on and
we can look forward to drinking a lot of hot cocoa and spending time with family.
With these three weeks of freedom from school work, we have more time to focus
on Key Club!
Seriously, we cannot forget about our Key Club family! These coming months are
the busiest. DCON is right around the corner, meaning that my term is almost over;
time really does fly by when you are doing something you enjoy.
Have a safe, relaxing winter break and Happy Holidays Dancing Cows!

Hello Dancing Cows!
I hope everyone has been having a fantastic year so far. I know it is getting
colder outside, which means there are opportunities for a bunch of new service
projects! Here are couple of ideas:
-Host a coat or sock drive at your school
-Go caroling with your club
-Get your club to donate toys to give as presents to the less fortunate kids on
Christmas.
Hopefully you and your club can organize one of these projects and keep the
service alive in your community during the winter months. Don’t hesitate to
email or call me for any volunteer ideas!

Executive Assistant
Hello Dancing Cows,
The cold months are now upon us, which means that it gets harder to
get up in the morning from our warm bed.
With the holiday season comes many service opportunities. Winter
break might be in full effect, but let’s not forget that our community
still needs our help. This winter break I challenge you to participate in
at least 2 service opportunities. Have a wonderful break!

Executive Assistant

Relay for Life
After months of devoted preparation, the HMA Relay for Life team trudged onto the sunrise-lit field to set up their campsite for the long weekend ahead of them. The team dressed in superhero costumes to promote the event’s theme: “We won’t let cancer be our kryptonite.” The day officially began with the survivor’s lap, a heartwarming moment filled with genuinely empowered smiles as family members and friends helped those who were survivors of this horrible disease finish this meaningful lap. Throughout the whole 24 hour period, the team showed their upmost Key Club pride by walking over 30 miles to raise money to find a cure for cancer. Not once did their morale waver as they enthusiastically participated in the various event competitions. From lip-synching at a 10 P.M. contest and busting out their awesome dance moves at midnight Zumba sessions to modeling hand-designed bras for breast cancer awareness and racing in a cardboard car, the team unfailingly spread the anti-cancer spirit with their vivacious attitude.
Overall, the team raised over $3,000 for cancer research. Sadly, this year would put an end to the HMA’s winning streak, as they would have to hand over the trophy to the American Red Cross. Nevertheless, this wonderful experience gave the participants a new and more confident view on life. Being in the powerful atmosphere filled with hope and courage in the face of cancer will forever impact the lives of the team forever. Though many of the cancer patient, for whom this event was held, had fallen victim to cancer prior to the event, their legacies continue to live on in the team’s hearts, inspiring them to spread the same optimism experienced in this event to their local community every day.
As Halloween was approaching, Golden West Key Club was ready to help the community. After helping at the Elbow Creek and Goshen Elementary school carnivals, our Key Club prepared for a new opportunity to reach into the nearby community of Ivanhoe, one of the elementary schools in the Visalia Unified School District. Not only was the event a success for the elementary school, but was an enjoyable time for the Key Clubbers in action. One of the most visited booths was the incredible face painting booth with dedicated members creating memorable masterpieces for the excited children. As the kids patiently waited at the face painting booth, the parents enjoyed a snack served by Key Clubbers, who greeted the visitors with the most friendly attitudes. All in all, Golden West Key Club gladly volunteered at this amazing event putting smiles on everyone's faces.
