December Homework- Week 3 Math Common Core Standards: K.CC.A.1 - Count to 100 by ones and by tens. K.CC.A.3 - Write numbers from 0 to 20. Page 3: Cover Page for Homework • This page gives parents and students an overview of what they will be working on throughout the

week. They will check a box as they complete each activity. When they are finished, both the parent and child will write their name on this cover page.

Pages 4-6: Math Homework Pages 7-10: Literacy Homework

• Page 10 has 3 sets of pictures that students will cut out and glue onto page 9. Cut each set of the pictures and staple one set to the back of page 9 when making the homework packet.

Preparing Homework Packet:

• Print pages 3-10. o These pages make 1 homework packet.

• Copy these pages to make a homework packet for each student in your class. • Place the cover sheet on the top of each homework packet. • Place the homework packet in your students homework folder or envelope.

Dear Parents, There is LOTS of learning and success going on in our classroom! A BIG thank you goes to

you for all of your support with your child’s learning!

Math Homework:

! Santa Hat Addition: Students will solve addition equations and color the correct sum.

! Holiday Addition Stories: Students will draw a picture that goes along with the addition story and write an addition equation.

! Number Stockings: Students will fill in the missing numbers 1-20. Reading & Writing Homework:

! What is the Missing Sight Word? : Students will read a sentence and determine which sight word belongs to make the sentence complete. They will also write the complete sentence.

! Missing Beginning Vowel : Students will write the first missing letter of the picture word. These beginning sounds are all short vowel sounds.

! CVC Words on a Ride : Students will sound out the CVC word on the car and glue the matching picture next to the word. (This is a cut and glue activity).

All of these activities are included with detailed directions on how to do each activity. Please return the completed homework on Friday . Thank you again!
