The 68th Annual Kaimuki Christmas Parade will be on December 4, 2014 at

6:00 pm. As always, the parade will be along Waialae Avenue from Saint

Louis School/Chaminade University to Koko Head Avenue.

This parade features local elementary and high schools, businesses, several

bands, girl and boy scouts, our legislators and council representatives, the

Fire Department, and more! Plus, don't forget a special appearance from

Santa!

More details to come! Be sure to visit our website for the latest on the

parade:

lighting.html

The Kaneohe Christmas Parade is the largest Christmas parade

in all of Hawaii. Marchers and participants from all over Oahu –

and the rest of the Hawaiian Islands - gather together in the spirit

of the holiday season, for what is a truly wondrous sight.

The Kaneohe Christmas Parade begins at the corner of

Kamehameha Highway and Haiku Road, and it ends at Castle

High School on Kaneohe Bay Road

The Kaneohe Christmas Parade usually sees about 1,800

marchers, 40 vehicles, 18 floats, and 5 bands in the procession.

There will be many VIP appearances in the Parade, as well as

clowns for the kids, elves, candy, and – of course – Santa! Ring

in the season with our island’s residents and other visitors, and

come to what is always one of the most fun Events on Oahu to

be held throughout the year – the Kaneohe Christmas Parade!

Date: December 7, 2014

Location: Windward Mall at Haiku Road, Honolulu, HI

Phone: 808.348.2749

On the second Saturday in December, the City

and County of Honolulu and Friends of Kapolei

Hale kick-off the holiday merriment at

approximately 5pm with a block party on

Uluohia Street outside Kapolei Hale. This

usually involves live entertainment, kids’ games,

food vendors, and a visit from Santa Claus. At

approximately 6pm, the West Oahu Public

Workers Electric Light Parade runs along

Farrington Highway/Kamokila Blvd from

Kealanani Ave to Uluohia Street. Then when the

parade is over, they light up a 50-foot (15 m)

Cook Island Pine tree outside Kapolei Hale.

Festivities usually end by approximately 10pm.

Parking is wherever you can find it along the

Kapolei side streets. Some local businesses

open their lots for the event, but most reserve

their parking for customers only. This presents a

minor challenge on opening night, but the other

nights shouldn’t be a problem because they

don’t draw anywhere near the kinds of crowds

you’d encounter in Honolulu.
