Student Supervision commences at 8.50 and finishes at 3.45.
Our year six graduation was an exciting evening and all their speeches demonstrated their enthusiasm and pride in our school. We say farewell to them and wish each and every student success in their secondary school and hope to hear great things about them in the future.
I would like to congratulate and thank both Jack and Danica, our school captains, for their efforts and leadership throughout 2017. Both Jack and Danica have led the student community with integrity and pride.
Our Year Six Award winners are:
Academic Dux : Josie Nelson
Sport : Wylie Anderson
Arts: Kody Emmerson
ICT: Will Seddon
Community Service: Kaylee Spiteri and Seth Fuhrmeister
GPS Community Award: Jorja Bennet
The 2017 year has been hectic and successful. Our students have worked extremely hard to achieve their goals and their results reflect this. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly and are no doubt looking forward to a well-earned break.
We will all be back next year and look forward to Kirsty Payton and Claire Constable joining us. It is always a great privilege to lead our school and I would like to thank all those families who have supported our endeavours, without your assistance, our job would be much harder. In addition I would like to thank our teachers and support staff as without their hard work we would fail to thrive.
I would like to wish you all a very happy Christmas and prosperous New Year and we look forward to seeing you back here with us in 2018.
Our teachers for 2018 are:
Prep 1 – Brad Karslake, Louise kirk, Ainslee McDougall and Claire Constable

Grade 3 & 4 – Crystal Chappell and Jenny Farquhar
Grade 5 & 6 – Tom Watson and Kirsty Payton
Music & Science - Francis Carter, L.O.T.E. – Danielle George, Health and P.E. – Dee Beseler and Mandy Hipke and Art – Sam Benn.
We are able to offer an excellent range of specialist programs again in 2018.

School Wide Positive Behaviour for 2017
This year we have been acknowledging the respectful behaviour of our students and the
acceptance and compliance in following the school rules by awarding students with
Excellent Behaviour certificates at the end of each month.
For those students who have generally demonstrated respectful behaviour in both the
classroom and the playground for the whole year will be awarded an OUTSTANDING
BEHAVIOUR AWARD for 2017!
Well done to all students who received one of these, it is something to feel very proud
of!
Please have a look for these going home today….
Haddon Junior Cricket Club
The Haddon JCC is having an amazing season! Hamish, Noah, Denzel, Oliver,
Tex, Harley, Dusty, Will & Bailey (& others from Woady Yaloak Ross Creek
Campus) are playing together for the first time this season. They have been
demonstrating great sportsmanship to their team mates and to the opposi-
tion. They have done incredibly well and are in the grand final tonight! Good
luck!
Swimming Instruction 2018
Swimming instruction sessions have been booked for term one, 2018, for all classes from Prep-6 at the Ballarat Aquatic Centre.
Two grades will go to swimming each day commencing in week 2, February 5.
The sessions will run for 40-45mins with a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students. The sessions will commence at 2:00pm and
conclude at 2:45.
The cost of the sessions and travel will be approximately $85per student for six sessions (we are still waiting on costs from the
Aquatic Centre). Student information forms will be sent home shortly (extras available on website) and need to be returned at
the start of the school year. Please send a note to the class teacher if you are taking your child home from the pool on the
swimming day.
Full payment must be received by the commencement of the first session. Students who have not paid will remain at school and
be placed in other classrooms.
