Nine individuals with varying work backgrounds,

education, and experience completed a 10 part class in

preparation for the SHRM Certification Exam. With classes

lasting about 3 hours a piece. That's a lot of dedication to

the ever changing HR profession that will benefit them for

years to come. Each opportunity to improve skills and

network with colleagues over issues that are relevant to

today's workspaces provides an investment in professional growth and a chance

to identify and leverage the cutting edge in HR.

Here's a sneak peek into changes and improvements coming to the SHRM

Learning System in 2019. Continuing to use the SHRM BoCK as illustrated below,

SHRM has improved the mapping of the content, analytics to determine quality at

the question level and increased the visual reporting and guided navigation for

the learner. The online user experience will be improved allowing for personal

learning exploration and greater insight into learner reading patterns with the

addition of the "I Got it" button. Of course, there will be updated content and

addition of test questions but mostly improvements to the organization of

content and access to outside resources will be given.

The SHRM Learning System looks to be a good investment not only for those

wanting to go one step further and gain a professional certification but also for

those that would like a refresher as the profession continues to grow and change.
