December 2017 HAPPY HOLIDAYS
It is hard to believe that December has arrived! It has been a very productive first few months at Isaac Newton. The first term of school has come to an end and soon we will enjoying the Winter holidays!
We’d like to thank to all of the parents, guardians and students who took the time to attend Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences in November. If you were not able to attend the parent-teacher interviews and would like to meet with your child’s teacher, please leave a message at the school or email their teacher to arrange an appointment. First Term report cards were also sent home.
We would like to recognize all the hard work that our students and teachers have completed both in classes and out. The majority of our students had excellent report cards, showing all they are learning in classes. We also have seen great success in our extra-curricular activities. Our cross country team did very well in their meets in the fall. Our volleyball teams were very successful through their season and into the playoffs. A special congratulations to our Grade 7/8 Girls and Grade 8 boys teams who both won their Winnipeg School Division Championships at Tier 2. A very special congratulations to our Grade 9 girls team who won the Grade 9 Winnipeg School Division Championships. Thanks to all the coaches for their commitment to training our athletes.
We hope to see you on Wednesday, December 13th for the Winter Night of the Arts Concert at 7:00 pm. All of our Isaac Newton bands will be performing and there will be an art display of our students’ work.
