1. Qualifications for Entry: As this is a Ladies only tournament, all competitors must befemale. All competitors must be a current financial fishing member of a QGFA memberclub or a current financial fishing member of another GFAA member states’ club. Foreignanglers/residents not wishing to join a QGFA member club to fish a tournament mustprovide proof of being an individual member of the IGFA (e-membership does not suffice)to be eligible to fish. All QGFA events must be fished under GFAA rules and fishingregulations.
2. Line Class: 10kg, 15kg or 24kg. If line class is not recorded on score sheet points will beallocated according to 24kg line class.
3. Tag and Release: All Billfish to be tagged and released for points. Tags are availableat briefing.
4. Eligible Species: All species except sharks that are listed in GFAA Record Charts.
Edible Fish: As defined by the committee, are Cobia, Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, DogtoothTuna, Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo. Except for record claims, edible fish MUST be gilled andgutted on capture, kept on ice and presented in edible condition. Failure to gill AND gutedible species will result in the fish being allocated the minimal point allocationapplicable. An additional 10% is to be added to the weight of the gilled AND gutted fishbefore calculation of points. Edible fish need not be line class to be weighed.
Other Game Fish: (i.e. those not considered edible by the committee) must be line classto be weighed except for junior anglers. Juniors will be allowed to weigh any gamefishunder line class to a max of three fish per species.
5. Points Score is as follows: All fish weighed must be legal fish in size and bag limits.In the event of a tie, the first team or angler reaching the winning total will be declaredthe winner.
Billfish: 10kg line = 600 + 50% Bonus = 900 points15kg line = 500 + 50% Bonus = 750 points24kg line = 400 + 50% Bonus = 600 points
Gamefish: Weight of Fish x 100 Divided by Line Class
6. Fishing Grounds: Opal Reef to Raaf Shoals. Be aware of Green Zone Rules andRegulations.
7. Sailpast: All vessels must participate in the sailpast commencing from the Marlin Wharfat 0700hrs. Vessels must past the Marlin Jetty in single file as per instructions given atthe briefing for the judging of the Best Decorated Boat. The committee will individuallyconsider exceptions to this rule. Departure before 0700 hrs will not be permitted in anycircumstance.
8. Fishing Hours: Fishing will commence at 0830hrs and cease at 1700hrs. Any fish hookedbefore cease fishing time may be played out and is eligible for points, provided the hookup is notified at cease of fishing and the team meets the weigh-in cut off time ~ 2000hrs.
9. Weigh In: All captured fish must be weighed at the Marlin Marina between 1800hrs and2000hrs. All teams must present completed Score Sheets and Tag Cards to theWeighmaster even if no fish were caught. Potential Records must be announced at timeof capture and must not be mutilated.
10. Teams: Teams must be a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 anglers.
11. Judges: Judges will be appointed by the Committee, with the judges' decision being finaland binding.
12. Protests: All protests must be submitted in writing by the Team Captain to the ExecutiveCommittee no later than 0900hrs Sunday 7th December 2014.
13. Radio Schedules: Frequency: VHF 81 • Times: 1105, 1405, 1645hrs.
