Hoof Beats by the Club President The Holidays are upon us which means the YLCR Year

is winding down. All we have left on our 2012 agenda is

our General Meeting on Wed. Dec. 5th, and we hope you

will join us for an evening of Holiday Fun!!! Next on the

agenda is the Holiday/Christmas Parties for the Adults on

Sat. Dec. 15th. The Stefanek Family has graciously

agreed to host our evening, details in this newsletter. For

the Youth Teamers we have a FUN Party Planned for

Dec. 21st at Michelle’s and details are on the Youth Team

page again, we hope you will join the festivities.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to our YL Parade partici-

pants. We had over 20 horses which drew LOTS of

cheers from the crowd. Naturally our Pooper Scoopers

stole the show, Jackson Keith, Andrew Perez and hope-

fully you all saw our Scoopin Poop Chicken which was

really Jim Stull. So thanks to Jim for the laughs and to

the boys for all their hard work.

The YLCR Truck looked great and a shout out to Bob

Stevenson for driving, also to Lisa Taylor for lending her

truck, to the Youth Team Mom’s, Cara Cash, Laura Perez

& Sari Stevenson who rode in the back proudly waving

our flags and to our Shot Gun Riders, Tom and Claudine

Lynch. Also a Stetson Salute to our Photographers Vern

Cash & Martin Perez.

Lastly to our riders, over 20 strong, we know how much

work goes into getting your horse ready, and it doesn’t

end with the parade because as we all know, there is the

ride home, and then cleaning your horse and tack after

the day is done. We had a proud showing and we can’t

thank the riders enough for helping us remind YL that we

are HERE and HERE TO STAY. For those that haven’t

heard we received a 1st Place Trophy in the Parade. I will

bring it to the General Meeting to share with everyone.

We have had a very successful 2012 and I would like to

thank each and every member and sponsor for your in-

volvement. I trust we can count on your membership/

sponsorship for the New Year as we still have much to

accomplish here in The Land of Gracious Living. We

recently had a long time member (Marisa) move to Texas

where one would think the horse amenities would be

amazing. She recently told me to FIGHT ON for our

wonderful Equestrian Lifestyle in YL as there is nothing

like it in her area of Texas.

Speaking of memberships/sponsorships, they are due for

most members as of Jan 1 unless you recently joined at

the parades. Then your membership is valid for 2013.

Youth Team News Wow, is it really December? Time is flying by as we

sailed through November, we have to be Thankful for

all of our friends, family and critters! These great

creatures are what tie most of us as friends, so I am

certainly thankful for my ponies!!!

We had a spectacular evening at our annual banquet.

Thanks to all the families that contributed to my gift, it

was greatly appreciated.

We all also survived the return of the Fiesta Days

Parade. Although it was a chaotic start, we looked

great on the parade route, so great we won a trophy!

That was an exciting surprise.

This month we will be having our Christmas Party on

Friday December 21st for all the youth team families.

It will start at 6:00 and our theme is ITALIAN. I hope

to see everybody there at my house at 6:00. The girls

will be doing a $15 gift exchange with a little stealing

involved so come prepared!! If you have not signed up

for what to bring, I will be sending a reminder very

soon.
