Carol (remain seated)

“Silent Night” STILLE NACHT

Silent night, holy night, All is calm, all is brightRound yon virgin mother and child, Holy infant so tender and mild,

Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.

Silent night, holy night, Darkness flies, all is light;Shepherds hear the angels sing, “Alleluia! Hail the King!

Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.”

Silent night, holy night, Song of God, love’s pure light, Radiant beams from thy holy face, with the dawn of redeeming grace,

Jesus, Lord, at thy birth, Jesus, Lord, at thy birth.

Silent night, holy night, Wondrous star, lend thy light;With the angels let us sing, “Alleluia to our King;

Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.”

Bidding Prayer Matt Rollins

Beloved in Christ, as we gather to celebrate with joyous anticipation the coming of the redeemer of the world, let us prepare ourselves to hear in lessons from the Holy Scripture how the prophets of Israel foretold his coming. Let us rejoice in our carols that God’s promise is even now being fulfilled. And let us offer our prayers and praise to Almighty God through the words which Christ himself taught us:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
