A casual meet, greet & chat event was held at Farm

Equipment Sales in Glasgow last night featuring Montana

Representative Austin Knudsen (HD 36, pictured above),

Senator John Brenden (SD 18) and Representative Mike

Lang (HD 33). The discussion covered what will be the hot

topics in the upcoming legislative session that begins in

January 2015: bison, Montana Medicaid, Build Montana,

the Bakken, and the welfare of the Montana economy in

general. Meeting with Knudsen, one can understand why

his peers voted him Speaker of the House for the upcoming

legislative session; hes a straight shooter who tells it like

it is. One of the younger legislators serving in Helena, he

was frst elected to the chamber in 2010. In the 2013-2014

session, he served as Speaker Pro Tempore. Hailing from

Culbertson, he earned his B.S. in Sociology and B.A. in

Political Science from Montana State University, and his

J.D. from the University of Montana School of Law. An

attorney by trade, he also helps out on the family ranch

He is a legislative crusader for the protection of private

    property and individual rights.
