LIFE TOGETHER Dear Friends, How quickly it seems that the time is passing during this Advent season. The third week is upon us, known for its tinges of joy, with Monday the 17th as the hinge upon which the Advent season changes. We move from the anticipation of the Lord’s coming again at the end time, to the Christ who comes at Bethlehem. We move to anticipation for the birth of the Christ child, at Christmas. Notice that the prayers of Mass will reflect this change. We are blessed to be Christians who live within a liturgical year, making us travelers along the road of faith with millions of Christians across the world who long for the presence of God. There will be an offering of the Sacrament of Reconciliation this Monday from 6:00-7:00pm in Church. There will also be a final opportunity for the sacrament in the Deanery Light is On for You from 6:00-7:30pm on Wednesday December 19th, at Our Lady of Mercy, St. Aloysius, St. George. Again, there is an opportunity for end of year giving in the Parish. I would encourage you to consider such a gift to the Capital Campaign even if you have already made your pledge. There are tax benefits for you and the parish would deeply appreciate your generosity. If you have yet to make your pledge to the Capital Campaign, please do so by contacting our Campaign Secretary, Debbie Daigle, at the Parish Office. There will be lovely music at all the Christmas liturgies. I particularly invite you to the choral concert from 11:30pm-Midnight with organ, piano, brass, soloists and choir. This is a good time of the year to invite anyone you know who does not have a Church to come and worship with you at Christmas. God’s Spirit can work through your invitation. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Have a good week. Love,

ADORATION “NOT JUST ANOTHER MEETING”

All are invited on Tuesdays to continue their worship and love of God at adoration. It is a visit, not a meeting. A visit of ‘love to love’. Bring whatever is in your heart and soul and leave it at the feet of the Lord for HE will be at yours. “Adoration for the Blessed Sacrament is the best time you will spend on earth”. -Mother Theresa Join us every Tuesday evening at 7:00pm for Eucharistic Adoration. Taking special time with our Lord is a great way to grow closer to Him.

We extend our sympathy to the following parishioners who recently lost a loved one:

Sonya Zimmer on the death of her husband, John.

Irma Landry on the death of her husband Bobby.
