See Karol Rinehart to get your card.We then convened an official club meeting to elect officers and chairsfor the 2017-18 year. This will be covered under separate minutes.Roger Thorp is recruiting volunteers to work The Community CaféFriday, Jan. 6 at Shepherd of the Mountains Church. He needs help formany and various jobs starting at 2:30 and ending at 8:00 p.m.including prep cooks, set up, servers, bussers, greeter, dish washers,final cleanup. Please sign up!Pete Sinnott needs volunteers to work at the town’s third annualWinterfest, January 14-15, at the Events Center. We will be “go-fers”for the chili contest participants. Our club will earn $3,000 from thetown plus a generous contribution from the entrants in the professionalchili competition. There is a non-profit category and Ward Nelson andScott Thompson will represent our club. Please sign up!Salvation Army bell ringing is going well, Wayne Andersen reported. Asof Monday, $20,000 has been raised which is on track for the goal of$53,000.Our Christmas Party meeting is next Thursday, Dec. 22. Reservethrough Karol Rinehart. Price is $20. There will be special music. Jim Austin reported Bright Christmas distribution was completedyesterday to 135 families which included 297 children. Crossroads hasnow been a partner for 25 years. Way to go! Thor Homme noted thatBright Christmas received the Sustaining Philanthropist category awardat the Philanthropy Day event a few weeks ago at the YMCA.
