17. In Michigan we have large bridges- the Ambassador Bridge and Mackinac Bridge. These are
human characteristics of Michigan since they were built by humans. These bridges connect one
place to another.

19. A new auto plant has opened up in the Detroit area, so new jobs will be created and people will
move to the area.
20. Zebra mussels have come to the Great Lakes attached to freighters that have traveled around the
world. They have disrupted our ecosystem. Michigan leaders have asked a scientist from
California to help with this problem because they may know of a solution to help us that we did
not think of.
